So.. with the dreaded news of Caddy being a "GTD", how many of you think that Cadillac plays Sunday? I think that even a hurt Caddy gives the Bucs the best chance to win vs. the Saints.

Heres to hoping he plays.

NO NO ... rest up this week and come out hard next week vs the Rams!F Taylor remains in my line-up regardless.

Well...the article states that it's likely that CW will "at least start the game" at RB. Stroud is not a good reporter though.

x2... Come on Gruden, let Caddy rest & heal up... I'm not gonna start him regardless this week.

I think he starts, and his playing time will be based on his performance and how he feels. If they give him the green light, i'm gonna roll the dice and start him since my alternative is jamal lewis.. :lmao: I figure one quarter of cadillac will be enough to outperform lewis for an entire game.

Found this little nugget on-line.

I'm personally sitting Caddy this week, but I think this shows that this rib thing is just probably a 1-week deal.

FWIW...

(On how RB Cadillac Williams looks today)

You know, until you take a Cadillac out and really drive it you don't know if you want to buy it. I think he looks good cruising around, but I want to take it out on the interstate and put the pedal down, man. That's what we need to find out; I think gameday will tell us. We'll give him a shot to go. He says he feels better. He looked a little bit more creative out here today, and I'm counting on him being ready to go.''

Boy that's an understatement. Worst "journalist" I've ever seen.
Have you been following the drama between Duemig and the Pewter Report guys (Scott Reynolds)? Ridiculous. Our local Sports Radio has to be the worst in the country...Duemig, Diaz/Beckles, Sileo...I have a new found interest in 98 Rock.

Unfortunately Gruden will probably play Williams just enough to keep him hurt.
Ha, I was thinking the same thing. Working on a trade for Caddy and I'd really rather he didn't play this week so he can get healthy come week 3 or 4.

My fantasy update just informed me that Caddy was not placed on the inactive list today so it looks like he is a go. Good luck.
Unfortunately, that gives us no indication as to how much he may play. All we know is that he's allowed to play.

Can't imagine him starting if he didn't think he could go all day. Is re-injury or aggravating rib a risk? Absolutely. But they would have held him out if he couldn't give it a solid go and risk taking hits, etc. If he is starting, they plan to use him unless he goes down...otherwise, they are just rushing him back and risking further injury unnecessarily.

I took a chance. I dont see Dunn doing anything because teh JAGS deffense was manhandled by the TITans... so they are out to stuff the run BIGTIME today considering Jhair is at QB.

With 13+ minutes left, the Bucs with the ball, leading 28-7, Gruden is still running Williams who was hurt last week.

Not a great YPC for Caddy, but have to love the 2 TDs, the fact he had 24 carries and that he finished the game. And most importantly, it pretty much clears up that he's the goal line guy.

Good point about the goal line back...but I'm not sure why anyone ever wondered. Listen to Buc homers people!! Pittman may be the worst short-yardage RB in the NFL, and Gruden is certainly not going to rely on an unproven Graham over a guy in CW that was a goal line guy in college and had several big short yardage runs in his rookie year. The thing I am concerned about is the YPC. The pass protection in TB looks good, but the run blocking does not. Garcia's success thru the air will help open it up, but I also have concerns about that if Galloway is taken out of a game. The young road graders in Sears and Joseph have got to step it up.

That is the beauty of it. They had 8 man fronts 80 percent of the time yesterday to stop the run. They let Garcia throw and he proved he can. Caddy runs extremely hard and he looked FANTASTIC at goaline. He stretched it outside when he needed and pounded if that was needed. He is versatile. I am a little upset that they did not get him in space in passing game, but I am sure that will come. Caddy looks extremely fast and he is breaking tackles. Pittman is gross and this is Caddy's show. This team gained confidence yesterday, and their schedule is extremely favorable for getting Caddy scores and yards. I like Caddy going forward and consider me on the bandwagon!!

Not sure why, but I found that pretty funny (and true).

Did he look good?
Yes, they were keying the run...that was for sure, but he looked solid. Fast....Fast....Fast. That situation is going to only get better, and his schedule is favorable. I would say get him if you can. 1) TB is a better team than in past2) They are showing a committment to the run. Before Caddy got hurt in week 1 he looked great3) Caddy showed he could get injured and come back hard. He was not limited, and to think last week at this time a lot of people were wondering if he would play again this season.

Good info. Thanks.
