Horses Mouth

my fins suck. i'm sitting here with my 3 year old son in his full dolphins gear and the upside is he's learning a lot about losing and being graceful about it. but Cam is running out of excuses. poor game management, and just a poor showing all around. i love my dolphins but we need a fresh start.

But it's not official until it comes directly from the horse's mouth.

Another successful coordinator thinking he can be the head coach, ex. all the Patriots coordinators who are now lame duck head coaches, Weis, Crennell, Mangini. Lame.

I can see you now at the dinner table:Grandma: Please try my tuna casserole, it's delicious.Dman30: Tuna? That's Parcells' nickname. He used to coach the Pats. They're cheaters and bums and losers and I hate them.

Mangini, a lame duck coach? That is a lame (and very clueless) opinion.

Miami's bad football karma started the minute they passed on Brady Quinn on draft day. They should have started a new coaching regime with a new stud QB. Who knows what could have happened. Instead, they chose to draft a small WR/Return man coming off a foot injury who wasnt really able to even work out enough to impress anyone, then they screwed over Daunte Culpepper by holding on to for as long as they did, then got nothing for him. They then got caught up in that bogus trade charade with KC over Trent Green, a QB everyone and their mother knew was basically done. If Cameron had anything to do with any of this, besides his miserable coaching, he should absolutey get the boot. No sympathy here.

He hasn't even had a regular season. At LEAST give the guy a chance to have a draft and work with his players over a full offseason. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd been hired by Jerry Jones, we're calling him the next great one right now.

Not saying he will or won't be a poor H.C. but that's something that needs to be judged in years, not months.

:goodposting: Beck showed nothing so far
He didn't look terrible last week.Apparently that wasn't the case this week?I'm not sold on any of Brohm/Ryan/Woodson as the #1 overall. Ryan looked careless yesterday. Brohm looked average. There isn't much help available at QB in free agency either. Where can I apply to be the Miami GM?

Hell why not give me a chance, Cam and I have the same amount of wins in the NFL, 0.

Nahh, Bill Parcells was respectable and I liked te Patriots under his command. Bill Bellicheck has tarnished the image of that team single-handedly.

It would be wrong to give up on Beck now. You should not make a FULL judgment until the middle of next year. he does some things well, but the Dolphin OL was horrible today and they had a terrible RB situation (including two drops right in Chatmans hands). This was one of the worst Dolphin games of the year. I don't like Cam, but changing is not the right move IMO..unless they can get the chin

I agree. This is the reason you play Beck now, to get the experience. But you're going to get these results too.My point, I guess, was that people shouldn't call for the Fins to take a QB with that #1 pick. So many other areas of the team are broken that an improvement in the QB position probably isn't the #1 concern.

That pretty much covers the vast majority of DMan's posts. He either starts argumentative anti-Pats threads or turns any topic into an anti-Pat spin.

Jake Long or Dorsey are the only debate for Miami, either one + a healthy Brown make Miami at least 2-14

I won't crucify him in year 1. I'll say this - as Parcells would say I'll need a lot of visual evidence to show me that picking Ted Ginn wasn't an absolutely horrible selection.

I agree. I am a believer that you build the line first and then get the skill positions. That could be either side of the ball and if "you" feel that Dorsey is the best player in the draft you take him

I am in the minority, but I think Ginn is showing some things now. he seems to have pretty good hands and obviously has excellent speed. He doesn't have cut on a dime ability, but he can stretch a defense. Now, you could say he wasn't worth the 1st round pick and you may be right, but I think the guy will be a decent to solid player and will be a starting WR for many years.
