This would complete what has been an amazing draft for the Raiders.

What happened Al? Where is this coming from???

I know man, someone must be giving him his meds. I love the guys they got on Defense and like Campbell as an upgrade at QB (and with a big arm).

I thought this thread was going to be about the Raiders drafting a guy in the 4th round that many thought they would use the 8th overall pick on.

Scheffter just said it's "going to happen". Just a matter of time before it is announced. I'm happy for the Raiders. I'm not a fan, but I think it's about time they have something to feel good about. I'm happy for Campbell too. I think he got a raw deal in Washington, and I think he can definitely be a winner in this league.

I love it for the Raiders. Campbell will start immediately. Sure he's not the guy to lead them to a Super Bowl, but he can lead them to mediocrity and perhaps event he playoffs. I like it and Oakland fans should love this as it won't cost much.

bump Louis Murphy.
Major bump for all Raiders fantasy players from undraftable to probably middle of the road with major upside? Jason Campbell was a GIGANTIC upgrade at QB for this team. Schillens, Miller, McFadden and Bush are all legitimately rosterable now. :goodposting:

Folks on the Redskins extremeskins board are saying that it is for the 4th next year.
Shefter saying right pick, wrong year. It's a 2012 4th rounder.
2012?do the Redskins and Raiders know something about 2011 that we don't?As in....strike?
I think the Raiders weren't offering anything better than two late picks this year, and didn't want to lose another pick next year (Seymour). Redskins said screw it, give us the higher pick.

Obviously, a good move, as Campbell is a nice QB they got for a nice price.

I am curious, however, just how much of an upgrade over Gradkowski Campbell will look like once he becomes a Raider. It seems impossible to tell how a player might play once they get that Raider stink on them. Like when a player goes to the NY Mets, you know their production's in for a 20% decrease.

There's no logical reason to no love this move though.

I think it's cuz Al saw that this was an incredibly deep draft. We want to keep those picks.

Wouldn't surprise me. And I agree. there are interior O and D linemen, and RBs, that can make our team.

OAK fans have put up with so much stupidity in recent years, they finally are getting a good draft and a smart trade. Congrats to OAK fans. You guys have something to cheer about now and that 2011 1st OAK gave up for Seymour doesn't look like it will be top 10 anymore.

The Raiders got laughed at over the Seymour trade but it seems that it has lit a fire under them. Maybe they should trade their #1 every year.

It really was laughable at the time, and I still don't like that trade for them, but it doesn't look quite as bad anymore.

He's pretty much the eptiome of average, but an NFL team can win with an average QB...not with the crap that the Raiders have been throwing out there. Has some potential to be a little better than average as well, just hope he is given at least 30 starts to prove himself...as teams pull the trigger/shelf QB's WAY before they should nowadays...
