Can anyone beat my injury-plagued roster? (1 Viewer)

I've been doing fantasy for fifteen years and can never remember a team so ravaged by injuries. .5 ppr, 2RB/2WR/flex. Culminated by my decision a few weeks ago to trade LeSean McCoy and Lance Moore for Jahvid Best, Hakeem Nicks, and Eric Decker.

Can you beat this?

QB: Manning (just dropped him today), Bradford, Fitzpatrick, Kolb

RB: McFadden, Best, Bradshaw,Ingram, McCluster

WR: Nicks, Lloyd, Decker, Hester, Mike Williams TB

TE: Gronk

Really liked my team at one point. I feel like running outside and pulling my own damn hamstring.

In one league this year, I have:

QB: Roethlisberger

RB: Best, Beanie, Blount

WR: AJ, VJax

The injuries have been very difficult to deal with, esp at RB. I also sat Big Ben when he went off for 5 TDs because he had been in a walking boot all week.

Wr: Kenny Britt ,Andre Johnson, Miles Austin

RB: Peyton Hillis: Jahvid Best

TE: Aaron Hernandez

QB: Tony Romo, Michael Vick

While Romo and Vick didnt really miss too much time they did get injured and had to note it.

I am still 5-3 and leading my division however due to excessive sharking.

Oh, no worries, I'm still 5-3 and leading my division as well due to hawking, but stillStarting RBs this week are McCluster and Kevin Faulk - or Taiwan Jones if I'm feeling risky. Ouch.

I was smart and built an incredibly deep RB squad:

1 - ADP

2 - DMac

3 - Hillis

4 - Ingram

5 - J. Stewart

6 - M. Morris

I haven't checked anything for this week yet, but I'm sure I'll be in great shape.

Charles, Hillis, and Best are my top 3 RBs in my dynasty league. I'm forced to start Starks, Battle, and Obganjamonja this week...

Andre Nicks LeGarrette Best Bradford Hardesty...in a 14 team league.. Still 4-4 with LeGarrette for Macln and Plax for Michael Bush. Had DeMarco rostered since week 1

QB: Ryan, Cutler

RB: McFadden, Best, Hillis, Lynch

WR: Britt, Andre Johnson, Dez Bryant, Fitz, Calvin

TE: Finley

Oh well. Same thing happened to me last week. More impressive would be a roster that has avoided injury all season.

My first thought was...why would anyone have FOUR quarterbacks on their roster?
Drafted Manning in the 6th (draft was held a month prior to the season when the sentiment he'd likely play), Bradford in the 8th. It's a big roster league and I stubbornly held on to them but grabbed Fitzpatrick after week 1 and Kolb a few weeks in. :shrug:I have since dropped Manning this past week with the RB injuries.

12 player Auction draft, $200, non PPR

Basically, I started off by clearly overspending on CJ2K (62), then I got Manning for 32. Witten came up so I snagged him for 24. Disaster struck when I got stuck with my hand in the cookie jar upping the price on Rivers (34) after I already had Manning. Ended up with both QB's and the rest of the draft was very very poor, taking the leftover scraps.

After week 5, the only player remaining on my roster is Dwayne Bowe.

Week 1 Roster:

Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers

Chris Johnson, Roy Helu, Tashard Choice, Shane Vereen, Javon Ringer

Dwayne Bowe, Santana Moss, Roy Williams, Denarius Moore

Jason Witten, Jermaine Gresham

Alex Henery

Philadelphia DEF

Current roster:

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Mark Sanchez

Fred Jackson, Chris Ogbonnaya, Kevin Faulk, Maurice Morris, Taiwan Jones, Javon Ringer (re-acquired as Free Agent)

Dwayne Bowe, Antonio Brown, Nate Washington

Jermichael Finley

Nick Novak

Cincinatti DEF, Kansas City DEF

Only my 2nd year of fantasy, but at least I'm learning how to work the waiver wire/free agent field well :lmao:

My league has only 14 roster spots. My draft:

QB: Brady (thankfully), Campbell

RB: McFadden, Bradshaw, Hightower, Stewart

WR: Nicks, Austin, Collie, Evans

TE: Davis, Lewis

PK: Henery

D: New England

I'm starting Taiwan Jones and DJ Ware in a league where I'm 7-1... RBs on my roster, Ingram, Hillis, Best, Peterson, Morris.

This is what it looked like after the draft (16 team no ppr drafting from 14 slot and 6 points all TDs):

Romo, Campbell

Hillis, Bradshaw, Wells, Tolbert, Carter

Britt, Moss, Decker, Breaston

Daniels, Cook

NE

Suisham

Nice. You may be up there on total potential points lost due to injuries (they need to make this into a fantasy sabermetric)

There are 8 - count them 8 - threads on page 1 of this forum, that are either fishing trips, WDIS, "should I veto?" or in this case, threads about one's own team. Where are the moderators? Why is the useful stuff constantly falling to pages 2 and 3, with topics like this near the top? This has nothing to do with anything. Lock it, move it, but for the love of God, can we stop bumping the relevant information down with nonsense? Just a thought.

Manning Kolb Garrard( my 3, 4 and 5 in a 2 qb league)

J Best, B Wells, D Thomas, B. Jacobs, M Ingram

K Britt, Dez Bryant

Gates Davis

Sorry Woz, but you really need to look in the mirror, because I'd say you're just bad at this. The FFA all-stars have been just bad this season lol. With a deep bench you should have churned that roster spot long ago and you could have acquired guys that would soften the blow.

With Bradford, McFadden, Best, and Nicks, you took four known candy bones. With Manning, you willingly drafted a guy who at the time of your draft, looked like a very reasonable bet to never play again.

Made your bed. Lie in it. There's a reason guys with injury history sometimes get knocked in drafts.
