Can Anyone Top This Letdown? (1 Viewer)

There was this one year I drafted a team and the players didn't do so well and I didn't score very many points and I wound up not making the playoffs and stuff.
:goodposting:Happened to me too. Small world

I missed the playoffs because of Jackie Battle's meaningless run to end the game a few weeks ago on Monday night. Last play of the game that they got routed in.

Missed the playoffs by .05 points a year or 2 ago. So yeah, that beats your .2 points.Literally, I lost a game by .05 points in week 12 that if I had won, I would have gotten into the playoffs.
why do you have so many kickers?
55 Man rosters...why not? :shrug:

My 1st year of FF somebody had a 2-point lead going into MNF with a WR left. The other guy was done. No negative points for fumbles. The WR throws an INT for -3. BOOYAH!

We all have a bad beat story like this, but yeah generally speaking no one cares. So here's mine: Championship game tied with less than two minutes left in MNF (Rams @ Bucs). I have Issac Bruce he has the Bucs D. Warner throws a pass intended for Bruce and it's intercepted by John Lynch. Three kneel downs and the Bucs, and my opponent, win. Such is life.
Verified as truth.
Man, Faulk was a stud. Too bad the beginning of my FF career was at the end of his :(

Best luck in a bad beat: Made the playoffs one year when Peyton Manning took a knee and -2 yards gave me a 0.1 win.

Worst bad beat (old): A few years ago everyone might remember the Billy Volek game vs. the Chiefs. I was up HUGE. He had Volek, Tony G, *and* the Titans WR I think his name was Bennett. Tony G had like 150-1, the WR like 200-3, and of course the QB something rediculous too and I lost a close game. This was in the fantasy playoffs in a high $$$$ league.

This week: Opponent down to starting Thomas Jones and Maurice Morris at RB. I lost by under 1 point in a PPR ... with VJax playing on MNF. After the 1st half TD pass I just needed one more catch and had to sit through the entire 2nd half with him getting shut out to lose and not make the playoffs. Finished 3rd in scoring for the league. In hindsight it's even worse:

* Brady's 3rd TD gets reversed.

* VDavis dropped a TD.

* $$$ Lloyd only catches 1 pass.

* VJax was almost hit for a 2nd half long TD and had a 1st half reception called back on a dumb penalty.

* Andre Johnson dropped a pass or two and got hurt.

* Kevin Smith got hurt (my player) and my opponent had Maurice Morris who had done nothing until that point has a monster 2nd half including a reception with under 30 seconds left.

* He had Mike Williams and Percy Harvin go nuts.

* Janikowski scores me two points.

With all of the above ... losing by < 1 point and not making the playoffs REALLY stings with well over $1k on the line.

I got big into fantasy just around the time he was traded to St Louis.

It seemed odd that Indy seemed to be giving up on him. But they drafted Edge, I think the same year they traded Faulk.

But, yeah, Faulk was like nothing else. He has like one or two crazy years where he was almost a lock for multiple TDs and it seemed he got 200 yards from scrimmage every week. I know memory is making that seem bigger, but he had a lot of HUGE days.

I don't feel like busting out the stats and comparing his years to the best fantasy years all-time, but my best guess is he's well-represented on such a list.
