Can't Cut List (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to convince my league to override this feature, but without much luck. One of the arguments is: Isn't that part of it? They have had been *stuck* before and that's just how it goes.

Help.

I think that's a pretty unconventional way of looking at it. The spirit of the list is to keep inexperienced owners from blowing up their rosters. Either way I wouldn't play in a league that had one.

I think they're silly. It's just a way of "forcing" owners to manage their teams certain ways.

Cannot stand them.

If somebody wants to drop Chris Johnson this year, I don't see why they should be forced to hold on to him (just an example).

As commish of a new league this year, i left it. However, the NFL.com list is rather short & nobody inn it should be dropped.

At the very least it should be evolving. Say you can't cut any top 12 player unless they are injured or something else.

In general I think it's a little silly, but I see it's uses. Especially if you're in a high stakes league where you don't know the other owners, so you want to be proactive in preventing any kind of silliness.

Yeah the only time I would ever consider using it is in public leagues where nobody knows the other guy. I lump it in with no trade leagues in that reguard.

In a public league, I am fine with them. They are there to avoid someone quitting on the season and dropping all their players.

I hate them for a league in which you know the other owners. There is no way for it to react fast enough. Let's say that X takes a huge hit and knocked out of the game this weekend. The team needs to run tests. You saw the play and are 100% convinced they are done for the year. You cannot drop them and pick up their replacement. You would have to drop a different player.

A commissioner can reverse any transactions made if issues arise.

I was under the impression teh commish could edit it during the season, or at least switch it on and off on a case by case basis -- is that true?

The only situation where it has ANY value is a league full of strangers with no commissioner.

It is absolutely not normal to use a can't cut list in regular fantasy leagues. It's something used to make anonymous leagues less ridiculous.

I remember when I first started playing fantasy football in free ESPN leagues some ##### would drop all of his players after starting 0-4. That's when I realized it was time to move on to better leagues.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a clue as to how they figure out who's on it and what criteria has to be met be taken off? I've tried to search Google and can't find anything.
