CAR vs. HOU Preseason Week 1 (1 Viewer)

What is the reason the game isn't being shown on NFL network ?  It says it is supposed to be shown but isn't.

Early observations..

Savage has the pocket awareness of a mailbox.

Benjamin looks good, he doesn't look to be at all overweight.

It's just preseason but that is pretty much all I needed to see from Benjamin. At his current price (something like WR32) I'll gladly buy in.

lol my friend who is still pretty new to FF just texted me, "Benjamin is going to be unstoppable this year"

Sadly I am not able to watch this game. Just following the play by play, it seems that Savage has gone to Braxton Miller a lot in the early going.

What has this looked like? How is Braxton Miller doing?

Nothing special at all- not sure Miller has ran a route more than 1 yard down field.

Show him film from that week 3 game against MIN last year.  :wall:

But for real, I thought his ADP was pretty deflated this year. His finished WR16 and WR27 in two full season and yet is being drafted as a WR4 in some instances. Given the requisite volume (120-140 targets) and I like his odds of finishing as a WR2 this year.

I agree, he's reasonable this year in ADP and I'm a pretty big KB hater

There is no purpose at all for 4 preseason games.   Teams should go straight from training camp right to week 1
No, it's good to ease players back and to get some kinks worked out. Maybe they could do it in 2 or 3 games, but a preseason is good imo.

3 for 21 for McCaffrey and his 2nd run he was 'this' close to busting it, imo.  He gained 12 or so yards on that play.  Extremely small sample but nothing but confirmation from this game so far.  There was a 3rd down play where Anderson chose a different option (CMC was open in the flat) and they didn't get the 1st down, I'm certain CMC would have.  Wish this was an actual game.  I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a rookie.

I'm not watching but I'm just wondering, are you a Panthers fan?

Watson looking rookie-isa but also making it look very easy to move and snap that ball out there. I didn't know he would look like that.

Watson looking like Jameis Winston did as a rookie - you can see that it will work once he calms down

ETA - Savage better be renting a home in houston area

I was a Savage fan when he came out and I was really hoping Watson looked like he didn't belong but if they call plays to fit Watson when/if he starts the regular season, he could very well be set up for success this year and the future.

It's kinda late and I'm tired, but what about 6 pt td and 1/20 pass leagues?

Probably not an option in std 12 team leagues that appreciably better than Bradford, Cutler, etc.  He's going to get enough rushing yards be startable in the devalue QB passing leagues.

That drive from Watson makes you realize why Osweiler was sent packing - of course the Browns were insane to save Houston - but it may have set Texans back only a year at most on to a better path forward.
