I kind of like it. I'm still an avid campaigner for Bulger.. I think he can win 12 games on a decent team.. he just needs the help. I think he's probably the best QB FA on the market and I'm still trying to figure out hos J.P Losman gets a job before him?
He could be downplaying it.. that's a common practice in the NFL. Either way.. I'd like to see it. It makes the most sense in my opinion... he's more seasoned then Leinart and Anderson should both of them fail. I think Bulger has the ability to some damage with guys like Fitz and Breaston. IMO I think Leinart is average at best with no real future leading an NFL team. As much as I'd like to say Derek Anderson is below average, I'll reserve judgment until after he plays a few downs with a decent WR corps. At the end of the day I have a feeling Bulger is the better option, even at his age.
Bulger was discussed a lot down here after the season, prior to the DA signing and the draft.
First Bulger is a severe health question, and one more concussion away from retirement.
Second they will give Leinart every opportunity to hold the job - there is very little doubt despite the "competition" that he doesn't start the season as the QB. Anderson provides an experienced alternative with a BIG arm.
From what I have read/heard there is zero interest in paying Bulger in the Cardinal offices
Bulger would be a nice fit. When Arizona signed Warner everyone scoffed and said he was done. Got a few good years out of him. Bulger can produce with the Cards.
I know that people still have visions of 2006 in their minds, but Bulger's been unable to stay healthy the last 3 years, and, when he has been upright, his performance has been mediocre at best -- 27 td's against 34 int's in 36 games. It's true that he hasn't had much to work with in St. Louis (although he's had one of the best RB's in football to take a little heat off of him), but I just don't know how much you can expect from him elsewhere.

Bulger's age doesn't worry me -- he's younger than Peyton Manning.
The fact that he's been atrocious the last three seasons is the concern. There have been 31 QBs with 650+ passes the last three seasons, and there's a big gap between #29 and the last two guys, Bulger and Russell.
Yes, he's battled injuries and his teammates have been godawful. But I'd have to think there are better options out there. To be so bad for three straight seasons makes me wonder if he has anything left. Obviously moving to Arizona would be a huge upgrade in terms of weapons, but at this point I'd rather see what Leinart/Anderson can do. I have to think Bulger is toast. As a point of reference to how long ago 2006 was, Brad Johnson was still the Vikings starting quarterback. I suppose you can never count out a guy who is still relatively young and who played at a high level at one point, but I think there are other gambles worth taking.
His six-year, $62.5 million contract after the 2006 season has to go down as one of the worst contracts in sports history in terms of production. He got $27 million guaranteed and won five games.
