http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/43262/awaiting-word-on-cards-ryan-williamsThe Arizona Cardinals' offense took a hit Friday night when rookie running back Ryan Williams left the team's preseason game against Green Bay on a motorized cart. Replays showed a Packers player landing on the back of Williams' lower right leg. There was no immediate word on the severity of the injury, but replays left the impression the injury could be serious. Williams had dazzled during training camp and was expected to push Beanie Wells for the starting job eventually. Arizona traded running back Tim Hightower to the Washington Redskins after the Cardinals used a second-round choice for Williams. Wells ran aggressively and effectively against the Packers. Injury problems have slowed him previously. LaRod Stephens-Howling and Alfonso Smith are the only other halfbacks on the roster. Reagan Maui'a and Anthony Sherman are fullbacks.any updates on Williams?
Ahem. 97.well that was entertaining - 93 yard td pass to West
can he go back on the practice squad for a second year? I mean, how can he make the team at WR? They kept everyone, added Cobb who will make the team, which means they will be cutting Swain in all likelyhood.Chastin West is making this club. Not sure where or how, but I think he makes it.
that's three nice catches. Someone will take him if the Packers cantChastin West is making this club. Not sure where or how, but I think he makes it.
Not sure if he could go back on the practice squad, but if he could he wouldn't. He would fit on a number of teams 53 man roster. He fits depending on how many runningbacks/fullbacks/Tight ends are kept. I see Grant/Starks/Green/Kuhn locks, with Quinn Johnson potentially being on the bubble. He hasn't really done anything to endear himself. If Johnson doesn't make the roster then I would imagine the 53rd spot could be between he and the 5th Tight End... Whoever that is at this point. I do like what I've seen from Crabtree/Williams/Taylor so far, and I don't think keeping 5 TE's is that far fetched.can he go back on the practice squad for a second year? Maybe he was rusty last week. Him missing Mike McCarthys quarterback camp due to the lockout hurt him.Harrell is looking better this game than last week
Sherrod looks awful at guard. He's graded out much, much better at tackle in camp/pre-season so far. TJ Lang will start at OG from here on out and Sherrod will be the swing tackle, although I think he'll see a lot of time at left tackle during the regular season practices with old man Clifton on a snap count. He's a pure tackle that was given a chance to show what he could do at guard. Now we know that he's a tackle and not a utility lineman. As far as regret with letting Jenkins go... If Mike Neal can stay healthy I think the loss of Jenkins is negated quite a bit. I think they're similar players with Neal being one of the strongest DE's in the league. The guy is a physical beast, but he has to show that he can stay healthy, which ironically is something that Jenkins never seemed to be. The most important thing right now is getting Clay Matthews hamstrings right for September 9th. That's far more concerning to me.Kolb showed....meh. Not terrible, not goodFitz is crazy goodHousler could be an NFL tight end.Bartel might have a career. Like to see him against some first teamersGreen showed his pass catching/running skills - hes got skills. Needs to learn blitz pick upNew packer 1st round pick (sherard?) will not be starting for the pack. He got beat like a rented muleWhen the Pack goes to no huddle, they can shred a defense. Driver/Finley/Jennings - Pack may regret losing JenkinsBased on this game, I would say Driver is significantly better than his current adp, espcially in a ppr league
