PfftDodgers-Giants down? There was an editorial about this at some point that pointed out that the Cubs and Cards have virtually never played a meaningful game.
Go to a Cubs game this summer vs any team but the Cards, and you'll see the streets filled with vendors selling anti-Cards product. Does that happen at Chavez during a Dodgers-Braves game?Dodgers-Giants down?
Pretty sure that they will stab anyone there, so advantage Doyers on that count.Go to a Cubs game this summer vs any team but the Cards, and you'll see the streets filled with vendors selling anti-Cards product. Does that happen at Chavez during a Dodgers-Braves game?Dodgers-Giants down?
I went to a Dodgers game a few weeks back and almost got into THREE fights. The first two were because one of our group was wearing Giants gear. The third was because someone called him a homo and he yelled "At least the homos are here legally!" Not sure many Cubs fans are ready to knife the opposition.Go to a Cubs game this summer vs any team but the Cards, and you'll see the streets filled with vendors selling anti-Cards product. Whoever wrote that editorial is not very bright. There was an editorial about this at some point that pointed out that the Cubs and Cards have virtually never played a meaningful game.
Getting Mark McGwire for Blake Stein/TJ Matthews and Jim Edmonds for Kent Bottenfeld/Adam Kennedy certainly helps. The Cards have a great legacy of success and an oranization that is always capable of making the moves to put the team in the hunt.
Don't really know where you are going with this postYou are right about one thing though.....I'm sure some Cub fans would be unbearable, much like the bandwagon Sox fan were after 05Bluesbomber said:It is a rivalry for the Cub fans because they have been historically dominated by the Cards. Any time they can beat the Cards they feel they can justify their season with that alone because that is quite often all they get. The Cards have a great legacy of success and an oranization that is always capable of making the moves to put the team in the hunt. As a White Sox fan I am jeolous of that. Similar to how I feel about the Yankees. The Cubs have an old ball park and a lot of bars around the old ball park. They have a big flag with a W on it for a win. They have that going for them. I could actually enjoy a Cub championship for some of the good Cub fans friends I have who I can talk baseball too on a daily basis . But too many Cub fans seem to have an air of entitlement about them for absolutely no reason. It cracks me up to no end. Those fans would undoubtably be unbearable with a Championship. But it would be entertaining in some ways I guess. Anyway to wrap this up Go Hawks.
You've seen this team right?Holy crap, you guys should take the first two games of this series as we are trotting out Suppan and Hawksworth.
I am trying the reverse jinx. Plus, Aramis is finally hitting the ball. You've seen this team right?Holy crap, you guys should take the first two games of this series as we are trotting out Suppan and Hawksworth.
