Wow what will he discover next? Water is Wet?“It’s more me right now,” Carr said. “I just have to get a feel for what he’s doing because he’s the best receiver in the NFL. And we just have to get him the ball and it starts with me. And we’ll do that.”

The sun rises in the east. My wife is one crabby pregnant woman. President Bush couldn't beat a 3rd grader in a Geography Quiz....The guy averaged just over 8 yards per completion. He just doesn't throw a deep ball. I thought it was the poor line play in Houston that caused this. Turns out he just sucks as a QB. I hope he didn't spend all that signing bonus. I see his playing days being over soon...Wow what will he discover next? I hate Carr as much as the next Smith owner, but he HAS to get the ball next week. The coaching staff has the whole week to figure out how to make things easy on Carr and how to get it into Smith's hands. Carr was able to get the ball to Andre Johnson 100 times, so with some adjustments, some of Smith's value can be salvaged. Or maybe I'll just cut him now so I don't have to deal with this horrible qb.I don't believe he's capable of getting Smith the ball.
Perhaps someone will come in and point out the fact Steve Smith dropped a deep bomb last game. I don't really doubt Steve Smith will be better than last week, I simply believe he won't come close to his Delhomme production level. Delhomme may not be as good as Peyton Manning but Carr is downright awful.I hate Carr as much as the next Smith owner, but he HAS to get the ball next week. Fixed.Hopefully.Smith would have killed him. I think most people in the NFL, his teammates included, view Smith as kind of a psycho. I bet he gets 12 targets minimum next game in the first quarter.
Where do I sign?Need to start a support group for Smith owners, long season without Jake at QB
I haven't seen him in Carolina this year but I can speak to watching him in Houston. Granted, he had happy feet his first few years because the OL didn't give him time in the pocket. But part of that blame, even early on, should have gone to Carr as well. He never stepped up into the pocket. He always moved back or laterally, right into blitzing defenders. In his lattter Houston years he had a much improved line, but the same happy feet. He just seems that terrified of the blitz that he won't set his feet and then will almost always check down because it's the short and fast read.Honest Carr question here: is his arm that bad, or is the reason he can't throw downfield due to some other reasons (e.g. always checking down too quickly; throwing off of back foot; etc.)? I ask because it was my understanding coming out of college that he had a good arm.
Between the sidearmed delivery, poor anticipation, inability to hit WR on the move, poor defense reading skills, and nervousness in the pocket, pretty much everything that is not arm strength.Honest Carr question here: is his arm that bad, or is the reason he can't throw downfield due to some other reasons (e.g. always checking down too quickly; throwing off of back foot; etc.)? He's Jesse Palmer with a better dealUnbelievable that Carr is still getting a chance in the NFL at this point. Most other QB flops were out by then.
