CBS Sportsline Commishes (1 Viewer)

Pittsburgh United

In my CBS Sportsline league, I want to set our defensive scoring such that points scored against a team by the opposing team's Defense/ST do not count in the points against total.

Under my league's Defense category, I have checked "Points Against, Total Points Scored". Will this include the points I'm trying to avoid?

What are "DPA Defensive Points Against" and "DSTPA Points Against Defense/ST "? Should I be using them?

Thanks for any help!

I have a similar scoring set in two sportsline leagues. If I am understanding your question, I would not activate DSTPA Points Against Defense/ST. I would try to not activate DPA Defensive Points Against but if you have to do this make sure all point values are set to zero. The best thing you can do is use the Blue test my scoring system link at the bottom of the page until you get it where you want it.

Actually, I think what I want to do is set "DSTPA Points Against Defense/ST" and delete "Points Against, Total Points Scored". That seems to be what the help suggests for what I'm trying to do. I want to make sure that if someone has Pittsburgh's D and Big Ben throws an INT that's returned for a TD, Pittsburgh's D is not charged with those points against. Based on what I've discovered in the last few minutes, it looks like the settings I described above are the correct solution.

That is correct, I have mine set the same way. Run a test to make sure.....

i am trying to do the same thing... how do you set that "DSTPA...."?

On the Scoring System page, go down to the bottom and select "Add/Remove Categories."

Remove your old category "Total points against" (write down your point breakdown for reference, if you use a range).

Then check the box by DSTPA and add the same ranges.

That's what I did.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll hijack this one for a sec. Can any other commishes tell me how to start the waivers process? I've been through the settings a dozen times and I can't find it.
