I was trying to place waivers for another owner. I thought I was adding the claim to the waivers but instead it just added the player to his roster. I immediately reversed the transaction. I guess to set up waivers for him I have to log-in under him.

So I logged in using his password. I put in a claim to drop the Chiefs and add Chatman. Waivers are suppossed to run on 10/25. But now the claim says it will be processed 10/27 which is the 2nd round of waivers we do each week. I guess when I messed around with it the first time and added Chatman to his roster it made him ineligible for the 10/25 waivers.

Anyone know how to fix it so Chatman will be eligible for the 10/25 waivers?

You **might** be able to go to the transaction history page and delete the two that you performed. Not sure if this will work though. You might have screwed him, as now anybody above him is probably gonna go after him even if they weren't before, if for nothing other than trade bait.

Tried it. Didn't work.
 
Because Chatman was dropped, he's going to have to wait 24 hours minimum before he's available on the waiver wire. I don't know of any way to reset Chatman's waiver status. But nobody else will be able to pick him up during the earlier waiver run, either, I believe.

Do you know whether anybody else had a waiver claim in for Chatman when you made the Commish pickup? It's kind of important to know, since that GM might even have had a waiver rank higher than the owner you picked him up for.

I would either let anybody who wants to, make a waiver claim for him during the second waiver period. Or, if you think the GM you tried to help is getting screwed, move his waiver rank up to the top for that second waiver run when Chatman will be available so that GM can definitely get him.

Can you just let the waiver for Chatman go an extra day? Brown was the biggest injury news of the week so I'm sure he will go to someone with a very high waiver priority. He was taken by the manager with the #1 waiver priority in both my leagues that processed waivers this morning.

 
Contact each owner, in waiver order, to see if they want Chatman. Immediately do a manual add/drop for that team and then readjust the waiver order.

If you don't do this you will really have problems. For example, if the guy with the highest waiver priority wants Chatman, he won't get him because he's still on waivers for another day when the first waivers run. However, he will get his next pick and drop to the bottom of the waiver order and get "cheated" out of Chatman because of a commish mess up.

If your lucky, the guy with the first pick wants Chatman and you only have to make the move and manually move him to the bottom of the waiver order.

 
To solve problems like this--I created a rule in my league for when a player gets manually removed and is subsequently on waivers an extra day. It basically states that everyone who wants said player can put in a waiver claim--BUT it would be for a different announced player (usually a retired/injured player) that is in the database. So in this case all would have the opportunity to claim Quinten Griffin. The team that gets Griffen would really have Chapman in your case and the commish can manually adjust the roster. This way its fair for all those who wish to get Chapman via waivers and it saves you from calling everyone. Just have it in your rules and Announce it early enough in the day for all to see via website/email. If people dont check the site, then tough luck. Hope this helps.

Asking if they want Chatman is kinda dicey. "Oh, yeah. Ummm...I was gonna put in a claim for him." I'd suggest telling each owner there was a snafu with the ww this week, and please tell you which guys they wanted. Let them tell you they want Chatman. It's more trouble, but it's fair.
 
The owner who I was trying to set their waivers for was #2 in the order. Waivers went through and Chatman was not selected. The owner with waiver priority #1 did not make a transaction. I suspect he made a claim for Chatman but am not sure. What I'm going to do is manually give Chatman to the owner with priority #2. If the owner with priority #1 says he made a claim for Chatman I will then award him to that owner. Seems like the best way to go about this.
