For any of you that use CBS Sportsline to host your FF league - quick question.

In one of my leagues we moved from a traditional waivers to auction bidding waivers.

We used to have waivers run Tues night / Wed morning. After that, if you wanted someone that was not picked up and was not dropped - you can just add him as a free-agent (ie, would not hurt your waiver priority order). If you wanted someone that was just dropped, they would have to clear waivers.

Now we are using an auction bidding process. So it still runs Tues night / Wed morning. However, when people went to go pick up guys this morning (ie, after waivers ran), it would not let them. I have tried setting it to run on Tues; as well as setting it Tues, Wed, Thurs, etc. Both ways it does not let you simply pick a player up. If you run it just Tues - then try to pick someone up - it indicates that that player is not available until next week. If you set waivers to run every day - then try to pick someone up - it indicates that that player is subject to waivers that night.

My question: is there a way to have waivers run; and then if you want someone that no one picked up, you can just pick him up as a free-agent (ie, doesn't count against your bidding dollars)?

Thanks for any input.

I think you're talking about First Come First Serve after blind bidding waivers ends, right? I run a league on CBS that uses blind bidding, and I don't see a way to have FCFS after waivers run - best I can do is have waivers run every night, but there's no FCFS from what I can see on the commish page if you're doing blind bidding. Maybe you can open up a ticket with CBS, they've gotten back to me relatively quickly with answers... good luck.

This is how I ran my league. Well it was blind bidding, it was waivers, then fcfs.I had to manually process the transactions. Not sure if it's an option now

We had issues with CBS waivers this morning as well. Nobody could add/drop after the waivers ran, this was some sort of bug with their new site. I submitted a support ticket and they replied that they are aware of the issue and working on it. Was fixed this morning and owners could add/drop again. This almost created a real headache for me as commissioner, as I was getting bombarded with texts from the owners that stay up late to snatch up all the scraps from the waiver wire after the waiver process completes at 2:00 AM EST. Thankfully, it finally got resolved, but issues like this make me want to leave CBS as our fantasy site after 8 years. The chaos that almost happened is almost unforgivable, there is no excuse for botching the first day of our leagues' add/drop process.

The computer ##### in my league manually turns drop/adds on wednesday, after waivers go through, usually at a set time fcfs, same process as your league

ours was screwed too, and all they did was undo everything and then make waivers run tonight--but now everyone knows who everyone else was trying to get, and it screwed up the waiver order.

This didn't happen to us, it processed just the claims owners queued up then locked the waiver wire until about 8AM. Owners were forced to just keep checking back all night/morning to see when it got unlocked so they could claim the player they wanted. If our order got messed up like yours, I would be furious. Being commissioner is already a huge pain, don't need half the league claiming they got screwed over during one of the most critical waiver periods. If we didn't have 8 years of history (record books) stored with them I would switch to another host.

that's why we're sort of stuck too. we had to manually reset the waiver order.
