Cedric Benson Week 11 Missed Practice (1 Viewer)

Scott has been picked up and dropped so much in my Players Championship league, he's like a hot potato. Fortunately I'm holding the potato this week.

The single digit rushing numbers scare me, but I still say all aboard the Bernard train! Get on now before its too late :lmao: Thank Hay-Seuse its a 1 O'Clock game. This could be a perfect storm for Bernard (in a good way).

any word on this today?
Injury news update on a Saturday? In the NFL? I've never had that experience. Let me know what its like.Saturday in the NFL = Special Teams, Gadget Plays and final walk through, along with a gazillion meetings (team, positional, review game plan, evening meal, etc). Not too much physical exertion or physical evaluation going on.A banged up vet taking a Wednesday off is par for the course 11 weeks into the season. Full practice on Thursday & Friday generally means all is normal.Obvs if you are using him this week (and it is a great matchup), you have to monitor it tomorrow morning. But I cannot imagine the scenario whereby Scott would be even a Flex play this week - highly unlikely you will have enough to go on in the morning other than a gut check.

Maybe now with an aging FA to be running back
Scott is definitely an exciting young talent
This is the other thing people always get wrong, referring to Benson as 'aging' and Scott as 'young'.Benson is roughly 13.5 months older than Scott.
really? wow. That's news to me.
Yeah, but age is just part of the picture, Benson has been used and abused over the years, I'm guessing his true football age(or time he has left, so to speak) is much older, and shorter, than Scott's...

No, not really. Benson's only had 2 seasons with over 200 carries and only last year did he top 300 (301). He only has about 100 more career carries than MJD who is 2 years younger. As another point of comparison, Gore, who is the same age as Benson, has 240+ more career carries (almost an entire season's worth). Benson got alot of work last year, but with the Bears he was splitting time with Thomas Jones and the first year in Cincy he really wasn't handed the lion's share until about week 4 or so. It would seem in terms of "carries age" Benson is actually a young 27.

Yes, but you have to include his HS and college carries, as that is when the "abuse" begins. I've read he was a workhorse from day one at an elite football school in Texas, then he went on to be the stud at UT. I have no idea what Scott's history reads like, could be just as "bad" as Benson's in terms of wear and tear. Time will tell, eh?
