Cedric Cobbs seems to have as much or more physicaly talent as the rest of the Denver Rb's but will he ever play or get a chance to show his stuff this year? Is he someone to pick up and stash or just a waste of roster space? What is the opinion of all the sharks out there?

Prior to fumbling away the opening kick-off in OT yesterday and later severely spraining his ankle I'd have said, "hold." At this point however, I say, "fold".It was worth a shot. Denver looks awful right now anyway. Plenty of controversy bubbling just under the surface.

i stashed him during the draft, but a costly mistake in the ot game and an injury and 2 backs in front of him doesnt bode well for him and his confidence. i want to say keep him, but i am thinking stashing a musa smith is smarter (especailly if you have jamal lewis, which i do).

I'm still going to hold onto him, as you never know with the Denver RB backfield. All it takes is an injury or demotion for Cobbs to get in the picture again - provided his ankle recovers, of course.

:goodposting: It's only week 2... I figure he'll be healthy by around week 4.. Let's see if Mike Bell struggles the next couple of weeks...

If Cobbs doesn't sniff any carries by about week 6 or 7, then I think it's time to drop him...

Cobbs is a guy that could carry a lot of fantasy teams to their Super Bowl this year.. Right now, it's only about a 10% chance -- maybe less. But I just don't see Musa Smith being that type of guy.. Just my opinion of course..

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but since it bears directly on this conversation, what is Mike Bell's current status/value? I know he hurt his finger and that may have reduced his carries in week 2, but do we still expect him to carry the lion's share of the workload with Tatum taking 10 carries a game, or is Tatum now the primary ball carrier? And who's carries would Cobb take if he were to start taking snaps?

I guess my question is which of the Denver backs are sell high and which are buy low? I have each in different leagues and can't figure what to do with them.

I think Tatum's job is pretty safe.IF Cobbs gets a shot, it will be to take over for Mike Bell either due to lack of productivity or injury.. Mike Bell is expected to play through his current injury BTW...I think at the end of the day Tatum will end the season with very similar stats to what he had last year (he may see a few more carries this year, but with as horrible as Plummer has been playing, I think his production will end up about the same)..The tough thing to figure out right now IMO is whether Mike Bell will remain healthy and productive throughout the year or if he will have a couple of bad games and/or an injury and Cobbs will get put in.I do think that if Cobbs does get his shot, that he will produce really good numbers...
