RB Houston Leaves Camp, Jets sign CFL WR

The Jets announced that running back Cedric Houston has left the team for personal reasons. The Jets also signed former CFL WR Chris Davis

Houston (6-0, 220, Tennessee), a sixth round (182nd overall) selection by the Jets in 2005, rushed for 676 yards and seven touchdowns and gained 109 receiving yards on 15 catches in two seasons with the team.

I thought Houston could get some goalline looks and short yardage situations behind Jones. Now it looks like its Jones and Washington....

The fact that his name already has been eliminated from the roster on the team’s web site is a sure sign that Houston is not returning to the team.

I think we need to hear more about what happened. For all we know, he had a family issue. In any event, I hope it's nothing major, as he seems like a good guy.
