Cordero was just dropped in my league. He hasn't looked great this year so far, but... would you drop Henry Owens for him? Is Rafael Betancourt worth more than either? He is also available.

Did he get sent to the minors? In yahoo leagues he has a NA next to his name.....

Cordero was placed on the bereavement list Tuesday, the Nationals website reports. He's heading to California to be at the bedside of his grandmother, who is suffering from brain cancer. Cordero has admitted that his grandmother's condition has been affecting his concentration on the mound. Jon Rauch will likely close for the Nats while Cordero is gone, presuming the team actually has a late lead to protect.

Cordero blew his fourth save in eight chances Sunday. Jason Marquis, pinch-running for Cliff Floyd, scored on a Ryan Theriot single. An intentional walk to Derrek Lee loaded the bases with one out, but Cordero made it out of the inning before the Cubs won it in the 10th inning. Cordero might be out of a job on many other teams, but so far he still has some job security as the closer. Cordero owners need to continue to monitor the situation if and when the Nationals decide to shake things up.
