Chad Johnson speaks (1 Viewer)

Yes, The Browns won and he had a very bad day. The funny thing was on "Six Days til Sunday" on NFL network they did on that game. after the game, Chad went up to Robert Griffith and said "You know I was just kidding right?" to which Griffith said, "No, dude, I take that stuff serious." I'm sure he isn't the only one not to find the humor in his weekly talking. If he would have had a great day last week, then fine, talk, but you were a non factor and still complained when you were winning, shut up already.
:lmao: :lmao: I love the internet!
Can you explain? I don't get what you are saying about the internet.

I love seeing the bitterness of the Steeler fans. :lmao: Rough start to the year..get over it...We all knew Big Ben was going to come back to earth one of these days....he is still rusty from the offseason and surgery that has hindered him.But CJ is just having fun, there is never any malicious intent in what he says, he enjoys playing the game and makes it exciting for the fans. But it does make me wonder, just how much the Bengals would have won by last year had Carson not gotten injured! :banned:
Didn't the Bengals lose to the Steelers in Cincy with Palmer playing? How is it automatic that Cincy would have won? Last I checked Palmer does not play defense and that was and is Cincy's downfall.

Cincy wouldn't have worried about having to catch up with Palmer in the game. Also, I read that CJ still wasn't himself against Pitt after the concusion. is there any truth to this? Should I worry about his future performance? He is one of the most enjoyable players in football, on and off the field. it is just good clean fun.

i love him too but he needs to score a little more and talk a little lessnobody can stop 85 huh? Nice 1 catch for 11 yard performance last week Chad
It seems that Pitts had him doubled most of the game. They chosae to take him out but that left opportunities for TJ and Henry. Nice job by Palmer to find them and make Pitts pay.

CJ is not TO, guys. he's just having fun. i don't know how it's possible to not find this guy funny, and appreciate his love for the game. i find it refreshing, not annoying.
You'll notice that all of the hate is coming from Steelers fans. I'm a Ravens fan, yet I still find him hilarious.

 The guy is a tool, great WR, but still a tool......
Sour grapes from the beat down Cincy issued to your precious Steelers?I bet you'd be singing a different tune if Chad were wearing a Steeler jersey. As they say, don't hate the player...
No sour grapes here, would be saying the same thing if we won. "My last hit I was going to take this year was in Cleveland. If anyone hits me like that again, they're going down"Lines like these are just simple.....if he gets hit like that again my grandma would take him out, yet he going to take someone down? There is smack and there are tools....he is a tool.
hijack:A "tool" is a useful device that helps someone. Why is "tool" now commonly used as an insult? Just doesn't make sense to me. People who use "tool" are the real "tools" imo.

Did anybody in the media ask him why he was shown on the sidelines looking like someone killed his dog while the Bengals rolled over Pitt?
probably cause when they showed him Bengals were losing which they were doing until about 8 minutes left in the game (and they didn't roll over Pitt, Pitt wrapped the game up in a bow and handed it to them)
Well, he was shown on the sidelines looking bummed after the 2nd Henry TD and again after the first TJ TD in the 3rd Q. Would think going up on the Steelers late in the game would make the guy happy. I think the guy gets a pass for being a selfish player. I could understand being upset if you aren't getting the ball and losing, but that wasn't the case.
Do you have any links that prove this? Did he say anything in a press conference about being upset? Are there any stories that he complained about not getting enough balls thrown his way?

I think hes saying that he loves it, although I could be wrong.

Nice job of selective reading. You clearly chose to ignore this part of the report:"Johnson, who was clearly having fun, did say that he and Harrison speak before games."When you do not have the benfit of hearing the interview you have to rely on all the story inputs in order to understand the context of the quotes. Guess you were just interested in bashing.BTW-if you want to call CJ a tool then I guess Porter is what? A tool too?

Belichick responds:

FOXBOROUGH -- Bengals receiver Chad Johnson had some fun yesterday, calling out the Patriots' defensive backs. Patriots coach Bill Belichick had his own fun today, volleying back some comments to Johnson.

Responding to Johnson's request to cover him one-on-one, Belichick said: "Tell him that we'd cover him one-on-one all the time but he pushes off more than any receiver in the league. He must be paying off the officials not to call it, so we're going to have to double-cover him some, not that he can get open. As much as he pushes off, we have to do something to protect ourselves."

Belichick was smiling as he delivered those words, then finished by saying: "He's a great player."

Belichick called Johnson "a good guy" and noted that the two have spent time together.

"He's an entertaining kid," Belichick said. "He has a good sense of humor. It sounds like he was poking fun at us, and that's OK."

Belichick then relayed a story about how he worked Johnson out prior to the 2001 draft on USC's campus, and Johnson proudly drove onto campus with his Oregon State flag on the car.
