Chad Pennington (1 Viewer)

Pennington's been one of the surprise stories of the season so far. He's been healthy and very productive, ranking in the Top 10 among QBs in most scoring systems. There are some factors working in his favor -- he has two good WRs to throw to in Coles and the emerging Cotchery; the lack of a running game should lead to more pass attempts most weeks and a suspect defense could lead to more pass attempts if the team is playing catch up or in high-scoring affairs.

On the downside his production has dipped the past two weeks after two outstanding games to open the season. He's also a major durability question given how he's never played a full season in any year of his career and his best fantasy ranking was 14th which suggests a Top 10 finish this season isn't likely though not impossible.

So what do all of you think? Will he remain a legit starter; will he slip into the fringe QB1/QB2 range or will he get hurt and/or bottom out completely?

After JAx this week his schedule is very nice. I don't see why he can't repeat one of his pre injury seasons and throw 20+ TDs with under 10 Ints. At his ADP his owners should be VERY happy! I am!!!!

As long as Chad is healthy, I think he will be a top 10 producer.

Yes, "his best fantasy ranking was 14th" - but that was his first year as a starter (i.e., you expect improvement), and "he's never played a full season" since. He is generally a VERY smart QB, doesn't throw many INTs, excellent in the red zone.

I personally think he'll be fine, but then, I am a biased Jet fan :)

I HATE the Jets (blame Klecko and Gastineaux).

Having said that, I expect the dangling Chad to keep up the pace barring injury. Wish I had em.

Looks like the answer may be no. This is three straight poor fantasy games for Pennington, including an absolute dog of a performance today against the Jags.
