CHARGERS DST (1 Viewer)

sportsline is not crediting Chargers DST with a TD. What's up?
It's a pretty rare occurence and the official ruling on it may take some time to sort out. Depending on your league's scoring, it will or won't be there if it is or isn't supposed to be. Live scoring is never offiicial. My league currently has it as a D score but it will have to be changed because we separate D and ST, so just wait. Whether or not it is on there now, when it needs to be, it will be.

I believe Sportsline will change this but a special teams fumble recovery TD won't score live. I think they need to do it manually and make sure it is an actual change of possession recovery and TD. A few years ago Baltimore FB Alan Ricard recovered a Jamal Lewis fumble and took it 40 some yards for a TD--that's not a change of possession so it shouldn't be a D/ST TD, but the San Diego one is and I believe they'll change it later....

This is my understanding of why it's scored that way...

This has yet to be updated in my CBS league, but I expect it to be fixed sometime tomorrow. I saw the play live and it was clearly a SD DST DTD:

N.Kaeding kicks 73 yards from SD 30 to DEN -3. B.Clark to DEN 20 for 23 yards (C.Polk). FUMBLES (C.Polk), RECOVERED by SD-B.Siler at DEN 23. B.Siler for 23 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

This should be a DTD (23) for SD DST. It looks like they were already credited for the DFR as the only other DFR I saw was the Marshall fumble. Denver controlled the ball on the kickoff return, fumbled, and SD recovered and ran it back for a score. Expect another 6 points for DST Chargers in CBS leagues...
