Charles (1 Viewer)

I love how most in here call Haley an idiot.... yet that idiot has his team 3-0. Yeah, ok.... he's the idiot. Good thing they don't have mirror's in these threads.
The combined record of the teams that he has beat are 1-8. Let's not get too crazy in the praise here. Charles averaging 7 YPC and 18.4 per catch definitely has a huge bearing in those wins. If I'm a KC fan I wouldn't be too happy any time JC gets less than 15 touches in a game.

Anyone pulling a Haley and leaving Charles on the sideline today? Not sure I can stomach another 11 carry day...
I am only sitting him in one league where I start Chris Johnson every week of course but my other options are Pierre Thomas, Darren McFadden and Charles. Can't sit McFadden who has ben rolling and faces a crapola run defense today and PT will get plenty of work with Bush out. Every other league I own him...he is in the lineup.Kid will still be big time this year. Chiefs will start losing and Haley will wake up and give this kid 20 touches a game like he should be getting. It is the biggest joke. And I know NFL teams don't are about fantasy football, but this is bad football coaching IMO. Best player on your entire team and you only give him 11 touches?Haley is an ego maniac douce bag of a coach.
very  hes a little smiley faced snake whiney baby that haley boy... Charles 12 for 97???? why not give him 20 and he would have 150 + what a ding bat. they will start losing soon and haley will face reality if they keep this up. :coffee:

LOL isn't the season still very young?
Of course it is. And he still may preform at a RB1 level. My point was Haley said before the season how he was going to use these running back. And guess what, as long as they are winning or close, he's doing exactly what he said. Not his fault if people drafted Charles too high.

He wasn't drafted all that "too high." You're making it sound like he's a total bust. He's RB12 in my league, and ahead of lots of guys who were drafted before him.

I"ve been benching him but it's just because I'm starting Gore and McFadden. Otherwise I wouldn't mind puting him in.

I've been using him as a flex behind Rice/Bradshaw in a heavy yardage league and couldn't be happier thus far. I would like to see him get a few more touches though.

Charles has been very productive as a RB2 or Flex right now. Once Thomas Jones breaks down as the season goes on, which will happen, this will only help Charles when the FF playoffs get around since he will be fresh. As long as you can figure out a way to get in the playoffs, Charles will be a beast in the playoffs for you. Haley is a ##### but Charles just got me 17 pts in PPR last week despite not getting enough touches.

Deciding between Charles and Hillis is going to be a headache. I guess I'll run with Charles unless Hillis is playing a horrid run D.

no actually you are wrong he isn't doing what he said... He said he would go with the "hot hand" or the back that gave them the best chance to win... charles is far superior to Jones in just about every facet of the game esp running the rock... 4.2 ypc to 7 ypc... charles outperformed jones all preseason and first 3 games and gets no love from the coach... If he was doing what he said he would be running the guy that gives them best chance to win which is Charles

They are 3-0.

I was higher on Charles and lower on Thomas Jones than most all preseason, and I stand by that, but Haley is certainly throwing a wrench into my plans.

Charles will get his when A) Haley gets fired B) his contract is up.
:towelwave: as much as i hate to admit it (dynasty wise) i think mikey has it right.i'm not sure how the cba, etc. will work into it, but it looks like one more year.7/21/2008: Signed a three-year, $1.760 million contract

Following the bye week the Chiefs play @Indy and @Houston, two games where they should be behind and will need JC on the field. After those two they play Jacksonville and Buffalo, who both he and Jones should shred. I would be surprised if the 4 weeks following the bye there was a game where Charles scored less than 15 points.

charles looks poised to make a highlight everytime he touches the ball he is extremely fun to watch. Not only is Todd haley robbing Charles owners of fantasy glory but he is robbing fans of the NFL from viewing premium highlight reels

Hey Haley, you're down by 3 in the fourth quarter and here are your team's raushing stats:

Rushing ATT YDS TD LG J. Charles 14 84 0 14 T. Jones 7 17 0 8
I sure hope you "feel" like giving Charles the ball.

The colts d got lucky on several occasions today when beaten colts defenders tripped JC by grabbing his foot, stopping long breakaway runs. Frustrating but not a terrible stat line for a committee back.

JC is CLEARLY being worked in more and more, as expected. Jones will get his fair share (more than I originally thought), but it's obvious that they need to run Charles to win. He was, once again, their ONLY offense today.

fwiw, the split when KC is down (1-99 pts) is actually exactly 60/40 in JC's favor when you include carries + targets...

and is exactly the opposite when KC is tied or winning (60/40 for TJ, excluding other RB's).

I would think TJ continues to get carries when KC is tied or winning. Yesterday, touches in the 1st series were pretty even.
