He's simplified the plays he calls and has become quite predictable. And his offensive line needs some serious coaching.

Terrible play at LG, bad play at RG, RT. Paul at LT is poor at run blocking, C Brewer gives up too many pressures. How can plays work with such a bad oline and a QB who doesn't scramble. Tua needs a good oline to have a chance. The 2022 & 2023 lines had some players - Hunt, Armstead, Connor Williams until he got hurt.

I've seen Peyton Manning scramble better in his twighlight years than what Tua did last night, and I'm pretty sure Manning ran in scuba fins.
I say this not to pile on or insult fin fans but that team quit last night and Tua is not good. No heart, they come across as front runners who play well if they're ahead but are quick to fold when things don't go there way even with the game still in reach. The whole sequence before halftime on top of Tua's execution at the end was dreadful a and non-sensical. McDaniel is a dead man walking, imo.

A problem with the Dolphins is that they don’t seem to have any quality leaders. For most teams, their coach or QB are leaders, but both McDaniel and Tua come across as horrible leaders. Who do the Dolphins have to rally the troops when some of those troops start to quit?

The Dolphins are in a bad spot...it may get worse before it gets better...it's funny...for years and years the Dolphins and Raiders were great organizations that were always good...than they both hit the wall and cannot seem to get out their own way.

McDaniel is a dead man walking as HC, but he is far from the only problem in Miami. Only so much you can do when you fumble in your red zone and have Tua at QB.

It’s the right move. They haven’t quit on him. They just aren’t good and always shoot themselves in the foot. Malik Washington needs a one way ticket out of there. And the line - my God the stupid penalties
I don't the narrative that teams quit in the NFL. You have 53 professionals in an occupation with a very short income-producing window, who are being evaluated on every play by multiple people, not just PFF. Tua engineered one of Miami's biggest comebacks ever at BAL just 3 years ago, down by 21 in the 4th quarter ... with a much better group of players. Many players on the team will have trouble getting an NFL paycheck next year.

Said in the game thread. Some truly baffling play calls from McDaniel but you have to be impressed with how this team has responded the past few weeks. Thought he was losing the locker room but they haven't quit on him.

Mike McDaniel was absolutely awful, just read the first page of the Miami-WASH thread, I lit him up like a Xmas Tree on the opening drive
