I'd do a search, but we all know that'd I have more luck standing up, walking around my desk, and banging my head against the wall a few times.

Going to Charleston for 4 nights next week. Any must-visit restaurants, places to visit, etc that don't get mentioned in all the tourist stuff?

My favorite city... we stayed at the Harbour View hotel and had a great experience there... it's right next to the Pineapple Fountain and Waterfront Park so the location is perfect.

As for things to do, there are lots of tours and they're all pretty decent but I highly recommend Ed Grimball's Walking Tours, he's been doing them forever and really loves the city... very nice guy too. The "Thriller" speed boat tour is pretty cool too.

We ate at a really nice restaurant on some waterfront and for the life of me and I can't remember it for the life of me

Was it Fleet Landing? Pretty good place.

Come on over to Mount Pleasant and try Watersedge (try the whole flounder in apricot glaaze, hmmm). It's at Shem Creek. Also, try Boulevard Diner in Mount Pleasant (dinner or lunch).

I have a name a the best steak house in town (at work), and I can get you in the "Embassy suites at a good price for the area." Our company just finished the Hunley Museum down there.

Best steak house will be very pricey (100 per person about with tip)but worth it from what I am told.

Maybe. I know we went to California Dreaming also.

we played crow field golf

Yes, it is warm. Naturally there are plenty of places to eat and plenty of things to see and do.

It all depends on what you prefer. The tours mentioned are always good, walking and horse carriage.

I personally don't know a lot about the resturants downtown. Too fancy and pricey for me.

One of the places we like to go is in Mt. Pleasant called Page's Okra Grill. Great food, just be mindful of their hours.

Feel free to pm me.

There is an old church downtown that turns into a rave club after hours. It was pretty fun 15 years ago.

Eat some shrimp and grits somewhere.
