chester taylor ? (1 Viewer)

He's my #4 behind Jordan, Westy and KJones :excited:
I think he's your #1 by week 7.I don't like Lamont this year.I think Westy will be injured by then.I REALLY don't like Kevin Jones and don't know why anyone would.
I have a question that if answered correctly, could lead to a significant financial gain...will chester taylor net over 59.5 rushing + receiving (combined) yards? TIA
This week? Yes. The Skins D is tough, but I don't think many people realize how banged up their D line is.
They're all back. The last couple of weeks they rested veterans Griffin and Daniels more for precautionary purposes and to maximize healing time than for anything else. Both could/would have played during the regular season. Their d-line is at full strength.

Can someone recap the bets for me?
Sig bet based on decimal scoring and PPRCT RB21 or worse: HK, MLBrandow, Just Win BabyCT RB20 or better: TeamDingo, Real Man of Genius, Banger, The Scientist, Broncofan13000, The Ref, glock, GravityThen I have a bet with Yudkin for a free subscription on which combo scores more FF points. He's got Gates/Chester and I have Foster/Heap.So basically I am out $20 and a stupid sig for a few laughs. Well worth it, IMHO.

You're a lock. Warner vs. AZ will be ridiculous. I wish I could re-draft, my team is worst I've put together in 15 years.
Are you taking class from Lou Holtz?Warner is only good if no :topcat:
No, I hate my team this year. You, Construx, BnB, NCCommish, Wheelhouse & Frank Black had me laughing the whole time, which totally blew my concentration during the draft.I shoulda used a laptop :wall: :hot:

Chess or FF, I'd need a miracle more than a computer.

OK, here are my revised projections for CT this season:

339 carries

1447 yards

63 recepts

441 yards

9 TDs

He's gonna be a monster, starting off the week right with 134 on the ground, then adding 7 recepts for 56 yards and a score receiving.

You're doing this just to curse those of us who drafted him, aren't you?

Sadly, no. I believe it in every fiber of my being. He's in a perfect situation for PPR leagues.

13.4 + 7 + 5.6 + 6 = :pickle: H.K. has clearly jinxed CTaylor, but I am starting CTaylor over FGore this week any way :banned:

Only 32 fps for Chester? Why do you have to be such a hater, H.K.?

339 carries and 1447 yards is only 4.2 ypc. It's doable. :o :pickle:

This is my first post in this thread and being a Chester Taylor owner, I've seen this thread lurking here before, but now I'll see the black dot next to it from now on. :blackdot:

There is a lot of garbage in this thread Wheelhouse intermixed with some actual information/analysis if you can stomach sifting through to find it.

Congrats on the "significant financial gain" :)

59.5 yards total is a virtual stone-cold lock!
OK, if you were a betting man and you had a bankroll of say, oh, $1000...just how much would you wager on over 59.5 yds?
For game 1 against the Redskins I would put the entire G on the over. Taylor will achieve this easily as long as he is not seriously injured early in the game.btw the Redskins appear to have some problems ahead moving the ball if Portis does not play.
Drinks are on me boys! Chester Taylor...1307 yds rushing and 442 receiving with 11 tds.

Chester is about to pull me out of the hole in one game and I still have Randy Moss left to go. :banned:

Opportunity is everything and Childress seems to be dedicated to continuing to run the ball and use Chester in the passing game.

IMO, he hasn't looked great running that ball but as long as they continue to hand it off to him and pass it to him he will put up very good numbers every week.

welcome to the bandwagon, some of us have been saying :goodposting: exactly that for the past 2 1/2 months

ive been on the guys jock for the last three years (dynasty)

31 TOUCHES... I'm SURPRISED!

3 receptions for 43 I'm surprised he hasn't caught 5+

I could see them finesse it down to 25 touches on the ground and 4-6 in the air.

Looks very good.

(Amidst shame I'll say Go Pack)

I did a midweek trade for Chad Johnson and Chester Taylor and giving up Westbrook and Darrell Jackson.

I was in a big hole but thanks to Chester the Molester I'm gonna win 108-105 unless Cooley does something or this goes to OT.

Nope, I'm gold. Thanks Chester for your 20.6 pt performance.

And now that SEA has Branch, the move of DJax is all the better.

Taylor may be a top ten back behind that O-line (where were they in the preseason), the willingness to stick with the run from Childress, and the superb game management skills of Johnson.

Top 20????

Mortal Lock baring injury.

Exactly what I expected from Taylor this year. Lamont circa 2005. Nothing spectacular but solid.

A nice mix of rush and rec yards and a td or so every other game.

I'm still not impressed with the O Line play of the Vikings. With the talent they have, they should be blowing out big holes.

Although the Redskins do have a tough defense.

Fantasy wise owners had to be happy with two things:

1) Childress has no problem grinding out yardage even when Chester's ypc is low.

2) Chester got chances at the goaline.

If Taylor can stay healthy he will be a monster this year. I chalked up the 1st 3 games (Wash, Car, Chi) as a total washout so last nights numbers were surprising. What was also suprising was how frequently they used him. The preseason and his 9 carry qtrs was definitely an indication that Childress was gonna pound him. 20 fantasy points on the road against one of the best defenses in the league is nothing to scoff at. He didn't look pretty but it doesn't seem to matter.

Redskins MIGHT have the best run D in the league.

:goodposting: There goes my plan of trying to trade for him cheaply in my redraft leagues.
