As most of you know its supposed to be drop below freezing tonight in Washington. Traditionally, how does this effect NFL games? The snow is all shoveled off and it's not expected to be slippery, just bloody cold.

Is this conducive to running moreso? Or do WRs still tend to thrive in cold weather games?

as someone whos considering starting both berrian and santana moss i'd like the answer to this question as well. this concerns me

Considering starting the Was D over the NYG D.

Unless it's snowing or raining I don't think it makes that much of a difference.

Going with Adrian Peterson (call him Chicago Pete since I also have the other AP) and not thinking twice about it. Chicago is used to playing in this and Chicago Pete is a veteran.

Cold weather for 2 outdoor stadium cold teams is not even a variable in my mind. If a warm weather Miami or Houston were playing in Washington that would be a factor to involve in my predictions. Now if it starts with freezing rain or heavy snow that's a variable but clear but cold weather shouldn't make a difference here.

The temp is going to be between 25 and 30 degrees with calm winds. This is perfect football weather.

 I don't think there's any discernable difference in play as long as it's dry.

Non issue...it's not like they're playing in Lambeau at minus temps. 30 degree with no wind is GREAT football weather.

OVERTHINK MUCH?

How does this affect you picking a kicker? Does rain affect it more than cold or do you just roll with matchups? I am trying to decide betweem Graham vs. STL with 40% precipation and Gould vs. Wash.

You are talking about benching Graham based on a 40% possibility of rain 3 days away? You're overthinking, the weather reporters make more reaches and bad picks than the newbie at his first draft. Which kicker do you like best? Go with your gut on this one. Personally I'd go with Graham at home and hope for a shootout.

Have to choose betw Campbell and Big Ben shortly :lmao:
maybe it's just me, but Big Ben is a no-brainer over Campbell, no matter what the weather looked like.
Agreed. The Bears defense is hurting versus the run, and the 'Skins rushing offense got healthier with Sellers and Thomas no back and blocking for Portis. I doubt Campbell puts the ball up a lot.

It's only 26 here now and not getting much warmer.

Forcast for tonight is snow starting around game time (1-3 inches tonight)...

I do not think the weather will affect either team in running or passing.

Bears are bottom 10 in both run and pass defense.

After going back and forth on this game, I'm picking Washington.

BTW, it is a cold but clear night here in Maryland. I'm about 20-25 miles from the stadium.

Where does this come from? I don't see any snow forecasted on YAHOO or TWC.
