Chicago and Clev WRs? Anyone? (1 Viewer)

I am still holding out hope for Knox in one PPR league, but plan to drop him for a waiver Def in week 7 to cover NE D or drop for a better option if it comes up.

I still like Greg Little long term (dynasty)........

My redraft is 12 x 15 - 180 players to fill out 12 starting QBs, TEs, Ks and DSTs; 24 Rbs and 36WRs. We had 72 WRs rostered after the draft.

All three CHI WR (Bennett, Hester and Knox) hit the WW yesterday morning. So far nobody has put in a claim for the 2nd round waivers on Saturday. Meanwhile, nobody has rostered MoMas or Little or Cribbs yet.

Black holes in a shallow league. Short benches require production.

Little looks promising LT, but McCoy checks down to Hillis and the TEs often. WRs have 16 receptions (31 targets) so far - only three teams wideouts have fewer catches.

This is a solid post. Redraft I would likely not touch any of them. I am only holding Knox as I have him for $1 in a $200 salary cap keeper league. Hoping to keep a WR1 cheap next year but not looking that way.......

As explained so well, in limited roster space, no WR's stand out on this team to roster right now. I am carrying Knox only until there is a solid reach of a waiver wire prospect, maybe will dump him in the next couple of days. I dumped Roy Williams last night. Bears WR's are a fantasy wasteland. I see that Little hit the WW and all the other Cleveland WR's are there too. If/when I dump Knox, the whole lot of Bears and Browns wideouts are available for free.

Yeah, I guess Williams was drafted in my league as well (dropped when he got hurt). 4 Bears WR out of 72 in teh whole league, and now they've all been dumped in only two weeks. Wouldn't be shocked to see them as bye week fillers, but there's no reason to think any of them will break out.

I'm a Chicago homer and a Cutler apologist so I went with Knox last year. He wound up the 26th ranked WR in my league last year (12 teamer start 3) so it worked great. I was expecting WR2 numbers this year until the arrival of Roy Williams. With Roy in the picture I figured the Bears WR postition would be frustrating all year so I decided to avoid it. Our benches are deep so Williams, Knox, and Bennett were all drafted. None have been put in a starting lineup yet and Bennett has already hit the WW.

Assuming Chicago's o-line can provide better protection I think Cutler will have success throwing this year. IMO the average talent between all the WR's means he won't lock on to any one WR. That's good for Chicago, but bad for fantasy.

I dropped Knox in my dynasty league and he was promptly snatched up. I just had too many mid-level WR's and he was the odd man out, since I'm looking for high upside long term dynasty guys. I finally just decided that Knox is never going to be great.

However, in keeping with the thread, one of the guys I kept was Greg Little.

And since none of you care, I'll list all of my WR's in small print for easy to ignoreness:

Dez, Santana Moss, Decker, D Moore, Little, MSW, Crabtree & Benn

Little hasn't impressed me yet and the inability to beat out their starting WRs can't be seen as a good sign.

re: an earlier point... McCoy throws to the TEs a ton on plays where (in my eyes) they are the primary target. Moore is often split out wide and running WR routes. Maybe I'm being picky, but I view that differently than McCoy checking down a lot. I think the offense is currently designed to distrubute the ball exactly as McCoy is doing it.

Little is supposed to be a raw talent, so there is still time to develop there into something long term. I definitely am not too high on him this year.

I think that you may have to look at MoMass, granted he only has 6 catches (37.5& of CLE WRs catches) and 13 targets (~42% of CLE WRs targets), but he's been consistent in the first few weeks and has 120 yds thus far. Though he is starting for CLE he is still not 100% acclimated to the new offense (missed all of TC with a foot injury), he is contributing. It says alot about the other WR's on the roster if he can go through TC w/o playing and still get a starting spot. With that being said, I can see him getting better as the season wears on and he gets comfortable in the offense and developing rapport with McCoy.Worth a spot in my opinion.

It's so hard to keep Little rostered in 15 man leagues, but this ones a keeper league so I'm going to just pretend I can't touch that spot no matter what. I'd rather ride Little on my bench the entire year w/ minimal production rather than risk him blowing up and losing him on waivers. I'm hoping MoMa's foot doesn't hold up all year.
