Chicago at San Francisco (1 Viewer)

Wow, 43 miles from San Fran? Any other stadiums nearly that far from their team's geographic name?
Dallas, Jets, there are a bunch actually.
Dallas is about 20 miles. Metlife is less than 10 from Midtown, NYC.
I've been drinking with every flag, cut me some slack.

OK maybe not as far but there are a handful of teams that don't play in the city they call home and coming from the bay area (I have relocated) all my friends are happy about the move. It is much easier to get to a game. DELAY OF GAME! DRINK!

And once again, my theory that the NFL would be completely and utterly unwatchable if it wasn't for the redzone channel is proven.
Watched the Pats and Jets games in full today and they were pretty good. It's the national broadcasts (b/c of the commercials) mixed with all these flags.

This is awful.

I tend to have to agree with the theory. Watched the red zone all day, was very entertained. Trying to watch this game, feels like replacement refs during preseason. Seen better high school football.

Yeah, tons of teams don't play in the city they represent. But 43 miles is a long way.

In fact, Santa Clara isn't even in the San Francisco Metropolitan Statistical Area. It's in the San Jose MSA. Yes, both SF and SJ combine to make the SF Combined Statistical Area, so they are generally considered the same metro area by most people.

I just didn't know it was so far away until tonight.

OK, enough lame geography discussions and back to flagball...I mean football.

Smith owned that dude....but that was a weak holding call.

This particular officiating crew is out of control

Glad I didn't put any money on the Bears, I would be outraged. This game is already sloppy enough without all of these bogus penalties and challenges bogging it down even more.
Is this a joke?
I like to throw a little jack on Sunday and Monday nights, and I am rooting for the Bears more than the Niners so I thought about it.
Next time just send me the money.
I went to Sonic and didn't make it back before kick off. Guess the pot head getting my cheeseburger saved me a little bit of money.

 At least you got some tots.

I will abandon this threadjack too, but first I will point out they are the same TV market, and that's what really matters. And when you live there you just say you live in the "Bay Area", so it still works.

Bring on the flags!

That interception froze up the refs long enough to forget to throw their flag before the offense took the field. It's a miracle!

Conte is like that one girlfriend you had that was a raging witch 90% of the time but once a month she gave you a killer BJ and that's why you keep coming back.

This game would be better if Chicago could get points for first downs. And they would still be losing by a touchdown I bet.
