Chicago DST (1 Viewer)

I have the Chicago D in a number of leagues, and yes it has been painfully obvious that they have been bad for most of the season. The primary excuse I hear for their ineptitude this year is injuries. Does anyone have a strong opinion on wheter or not they will improve this year, or should i just drop them outright and get a few DSTs with favorable match-ups (i.e. Arizona D vs 49ers).

The Chicago D has been on my bench for a few weeks now in favor of Seattle. Time to let the "Monsters of the Midway" go for good?

I've put in a waiver request to drop the CHI DEF and pick up ARI DEF (will process tonight at 8pm)...

I'll check back in here before then to see if anyone can convince me to change my mind.

Well if you plan to use them for the fantasy playoffs, I think you should change your mind.

They get Atlanta in week 16, but you shouldn't expect much from them in weeks 13-15 when they face Cleveland, Seattle and NO.

I'm a big Bears homer who was "lucky" to get them this year after I had my skill positions sewn up. As you know their elite D has been pretty much rendered normal by injuries. In my league we get points for K & P return TD's so they are serviceable, but I'm currently playing the matchups. They are no longer a must start no matter who they face and I honestly don't see it getting any better. Normally you can count on them for 1 killer start during the FF playoffs as Soldier Field in foul weather can mean big points. However unless you want to play them week 16 against Favre (who loves outdoor weather) who will probably be gunning for homefield for the playoffs you're out of luck. The only match-ups I have them penciled in for the rest of the year are home in week 12 againt Denver (depending upon how jacked up the Bronco RB situation is) and home against the Saints in week 17. I honestly don't think they will even be on my draft list next year as the offense will probably be worse than it is now and the defense will simply be another year older.

The Cardinals’ defense has forced 10 turnovers the past two weeks against the Lions and Bengals — two teams with a plethora of weapons — and scored on a pair of interception returns by CB Antrel Rolle. What do you think the Cards are capable of against a 49ers club that has managed a total of 60 points in the last seven games?

Thanks for the good points. Just wanted to make sure dropping the Bears D wasn't crazytalk for some unforseen reason.

I'm making the move dropping the Bears for the Cardinals to play the matchups.

I did the same thing. Arz D vs. SF = big points.

I'm holding, they have been pretty consistent in my scoring only 1 really bad week all year, 8th ranked def/st anyways, of course not the killer d we all drafted them as. wash, min and gb don't sound like bad playoff matchups to me.

Just made the exact same move.
