I know you have heard the Denver trade rumors, and maybe even the Jets showing interest. But according to ESPN, Miami may be interested if the price is right. LINK

you might have to post the article yourself. insider requires a subscription i believe. cbs.sportsline reported the same story.

No mention of the Dolphins having any interest:

Brown eyeing Dolphins

<Aug. 3> Brown's agent, Ryan Morgan, said Wednesday the Dolphins are on his client's list of teams where he would like to be traded, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

"[Dolphins coach Nick] Saban has them going in the right direction," Morgan said. "They clearly want to run the ball. Chris sees the talent on offense they have in Daunte Culpepper, Chris Chambers and Ronnie Brown and he would be fine competing in a two-back system."

Brown is projected to be the starter in Tennessee this season, but figures to share carries with a pair of newcomers -- Travis Henry, acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Bills prior to last season, and second-round pick LenDale White.

The crowded depth chart prompted Brown's agent to ask for a trade to a team where his role would be better defined. Titans General Manager Floyd Reese said the Titans would not honor the request.

They should get rid of him soon then and let White get his reps or...have him practice with the third string or somesuch. White needs every second he can get.

FWIW, I don't imagine any team trading much for him and would figure we still have the "GM's asking too much" phase to go thru.

Interesting. Brown's agent, Ryan Morgan, doesn't have permission from Titans management to broker a trade for Brown.

I wonder if he even has Brown's permisssion.

I'm lost...CBrown doesn't want to compete for playing time with White and Henry, but he is ok competing against RBrown?

It would help if White was actually practicing. TEN isn't going to trade away Brown until they see they have more than just Travis as a RB. Maybe after a couple preseason games...

I believe this is called a reverse-Leile...I saw the same thing. This makes zero sense. Sounds like he simply wants to live in Miami because he has a far better chance getting more playing time with the Titans than with the Dolphins.

I don't think that Tennessee has any realistic chance of making the playoffs this year. It therefore makes little sense to keep a guy like Chris Brown when you've drafted LenDale White.

Brown, say what you will about his skills or versatility, is still a recent 1000 yard rusher who has market value in trade; they have Henry to act as White's backup.

A trade, in general, makes sense. What's working against such a scenario is the lateness in the year. A trade could happen to a team with injuries at RB, or with lots of question marks there, such as the Jets, Denver, Green Bay, Baltimore, etc.

So Miami is now the dumping ground for any player disgruntled with his former team? Culp, Harrington and now CBrown? Interesting way to build a franchise. Will TO be there next year? Maybe the Offensive skill players next year will be Culp, Ronnie and Chris Brown, Chambers, TO, and either Lelie or Porter in the slot?

There's a good chance that the Chris Brown Trade Talk is just that... TALK.

1) Why would he want to go to Miami and back up R. Brown? It's a contract year for CB and he needs 15-25 touches a game, not 5, to get the type of contract he wants. Otherwise, he would have signed the $10 Mil contract (over 3 years) that the Titans were rumored to have offered him.

2) Miami doesn't need a CB and I doubt they're willing to give up as much as a Houston, NYJ, or Denver would.

3) It's quite rare for a player to get traded during the pre-season. Very few trades happen in the NFL and most occur in the off-season. By this time, the only player movement comes from cuts (like R. Woods).

We'll see... but I hope this gets resolved soon.

Actually I think everybody wants to go there because chicks are in bikini's all year and the party scene. Live like you are on vacation, and pretend to work when you have to.

Good call. Culp and Harrington were both disgruntled in Minneapolis and Detroit, respectively. Not too many bikinis in those towns outside of a couple months a year. Nashville isn't known as the hippest party town either. If I had to live someplace and didn't like my job circumstance, Miami would have to be pretty high on my list. Particularly if I pulled down the jack these guys do...

Dear Chris,You stay away from Ronnie Brown.
It would be a blessing in disguise.A Brown/Brown backfield would be solid.
Except theres no way CBrown, who is a UFA after this year, would sign a long-term extension with Miami, with Ronnie Brown already there. This trade makes no sense. The Dolphins aren't going to pay what the Titans will want to rent a backup RB this year.

Chris Brown's agent saying that the Dolphins are a team he'd like to be traded to is not even in the same ballpark as the Dolphins being involved in trade talks about Brown.

This isn't even a rumor of a trade. It's just a bad thread.
