Chris Brown or Derrick Ward ? (1 Viewer)

Chris Brown had a tremendous week one (as well as preseason), but he will still sharing carries and has a history of being injury prone.

Does his value surpass that of Derrick Ward who should get the vast majority of carries for at least the next 3-5 weeks?

I need to add one but I am all but certain I will not get both RBs...so who would you grab?

Brown. Ward could be a gem, but I think Brown is the safer pick. Plus, with the injury to E. Manning, defenses will probably respect the pass less making Ward's running even more difficult.

Brown

Lendale White will never be much of anything in the NFL. Brown is consistently a fantastic runner when healthy.

I'll make it anonymous and vote Brown too.
I know you did this on purpose Redman but  ETA: Brown for the reasons stated above, even with the injury history, it is better than no history with an injured QB

I'll also make it synonymous - Brown
Can I put my 2 cents in and make it Oligopolies(ous didn't work here), Brown and I had him before week one but didn't start him in my flex spot. He will be there next week though. I am trying to get Ward as well just in case I need a bye week guy, I don't think Cedrick Wilson is going to do it for me this year.

Ward. Brown is still in a time share, regardless of what some may believe, and I am going to go out on a limb as say his 9+ YPC is an aberration. They also face the Colts this week so don't expect to much running from Tenn in the 2nd half this week.

Droughns is the fullback and I don't see why that will change. Ward played very well putting up over 100 yards and a TD, yes I think his 6.8 YPC is also an aberration but he should see increased action if Eli is out.

I also think that The Hefty Lefty is about as much of a passing threat to keep defenses honest as Uncle Rico. Ward also has fewer vultures to steal TDs. (VY + Lendale >>>> Lorenzen + Droughns IMO).

The one big advantage for Brown is that VY's presence keeps defenses in a contain position opening up the middle for big runs. Still I like Ward over Brown's time share situation.

  :lmao: :P That's the funniest thing I've read in while.

Take the rest of the week off

Shouldn't this have been in the Assistant coaches Forum? Not to mention the fact that there is already multiple threads in the AC Forum regarding this?HIJACK

It's a push for me...

both will probably only be useful for a few weeks this season. I know there's a first time for everything... but it's unfathomable that Chrissy Brown actually plays more than a handful games to me. I can see him running wild for about 12 quarters of 6 games... but that's about it.

Ward will have 1 or 2 decent games before Jacobs returns... but if impressive, he could be used to keep Jacobs fresh (50% of carries) until he totally breaks down.

so i guess i'm a contratarian too... leaning towards Ward.

If Jacobs was out for the year (which he is not) Ward would be the choice hands down. Let's not get too excited on Brown, he has a breakout game every year then gets hurt....oh yeah and it will continue to be a RBBC.
