Chris Perry OUT (1 Viewer)

It sounds like running back Chris Perry is still at least three weeks away from playing in a game and that right tackle Willie Anderson won't be back for Buffalo.Lewis had originally said Perry was supposed to start practice Wednesday, but he's checking with the NFL to see if Perry can sit on the physically unable to perform list (PUP) for one more week before he takes the field. And Lewis indicated he'll take the maximum three weeks once Perry hits the field before activating him.Lewis said Anderson could be ready for the Nov. 11 game in Baltimore.
I think its time to cut Christina from your dynasty team sounds like he's going to go on IR to me.

haha, I love it when people change player's first names to a female name because of injury or under performance. Because of course women are less durable and unable to handle the rigors of sport like men are. This is why you do it, right? Women aren't as good as men?

Perhaps you all could just focus on the content then, and ignore the poor attempt at humor.

Thanks for posting - not that I planned to trade for Perry anyway - but at least now we all know why to continue avoiding him.

The real question this news leads to then is Rudi's health. Should we assume since he was near ready to play last week that he'll be good this week? Kenny Watson has been a nice little pickup for a few weeks.

I read somewhere that if Perry doesn't play, he's paid by an insurance company and not the club. A lot of bengals fans think the organization is cheap enough to consider that an option.

What makes you think Rudi was close to playing? Hasn't he practiced once in the past month while apparently also suffering a setback to some degree? Hey, I hope he comes back, but I'm officially in the worried category with Rudi.

Interesting. Have you got a link I could read up on this?

I just went back and re-read notes for last week....I guess I'm making things up. I thought I recalled him practicing mid week and then being pulled... In reality it looks like he hasn't practiced at all.

Perry is definately a flier however with Rudi so questionable both for health and production I would still hold Perry in larger leagues as a playoff lottery ticket.

why does this name (in any gender) keep coming up? he's NEVER DONE ANYTHING.
Apparently you did not watch football in 2005. He was actually pretty impressive on limited touches that year.

per game check:carries - 1.2

catches - 1.1

tds ........ 0.04 (you can't even catch a DUI case with that number)

At some point one must distinguish between "he's still learning to pick up the blitz" and "if Kenny Irons hadn't hurt himself there would have been 8 less game checks".

NOTHING

NEVER

EVER

Chris Perry-RB-Bengals Nov. 5 - 4:14 pm et

Chris Perry (PUP, ankle) will begin practicing this week.

How Perry practices will determine whether he's activated from the PUP list before the end of the season. The Bengals have 21 days to decide his fate.

IIRC...if Perry is still on the PUP...that means he is just going thru the motions at practice, not actually practicing with teammates and getting hit...correct?

You got it. It's wrong to say that Perry has never done anything. He shown flashes of a big play guy and is worth a roster spot in big leagues if only to make owners feel good about their team's upside. At this point, Perry has a ceiling of Warrick Dunn, a decent chance of being a Mewelde Moore, and a baseline of, well, a Chris Perry.
