I'm confused about his percieved value in the FF world. I own this guy in 6 of 6 leagues I play in, and the only offer I have received in the last 6 months is a future 3rd round rookie pick. Zero interest elsewhere.
This point? How do you not set his value as "starting RB for the DAL Cowboys"? I know that that is excessive and high.....but you don't want to be that guy who gets fair value because you're valuing him as a RB in a 3 headed Monster attack only to see him blow up, take the starting job and dominate with it. I don't think I'd trade him right now (except for insane value)......but, IMO....you have to look at him like you would a RB at the beginning of the season who won the job in camp. That's his floor.I wouldn't trade him for anything less than a 1st or a player worth a 1st.All of the sudden my trade in-box is over-flowing.
What should it take to get Michael?
shows his love of the gameLove the way he celebrates his 5 yard gains.I like athletes w/ gold chains...so he's perfect to meBanger said:I could do without the gold chains and rapping but I don't see how you could watch that and not see the explosiveness and power.ImTheScientist said:![]()
No, his floor is one part of a RBBC for one week. Michael hasn't exactly earned anything more than a one week opportunity at this point. Not saying you should sell for a future 3rd, but his floor is no different than a lot of players that finally get a chance. His ceiling is the selling point, but it sounds like all the owners buying that ceiling have been owners of Michael for a while now.IMO....you have to look at him like you would a RB at the beginning of the season who won the job in camp. That's his floor.
I'd jump on that. Green is a free agent next year. He's going to go somewhere and break out. SD is not using him correctly. See the 5:02 mark of the 1st quarter of last weeks game to see what I mean. Evans is a proven stud. Was just offered mike Evans, Ladarius green for Michael, Diggs, and a 2016 3rd.
Trading Randle for anything with good value. In standard, he was the 6th highest scoring RB in my league. Not worth giving him away for a song as there's a good chance Michael flops (as he has in Seattle), then they go back to Randle. Randle has little trade value because of C Michael but he's also not worth trading away because he's produced in fantasy and if Michael flops he has no other competition.Shutout said:Ok. so for you guys who own both Randle AND C-Mike....whatchagonnado?
Acceleration. In response to your accusation that I was trying to be a #ing scout. You are wrong. I am not. What I am trying to be is not blind. IMO Michaels talent is so obvious on many of those runs. For a 220 lb guy, the exceleration and lateral agility for a man his size, isnt common. Now if you think he is a knucklehead and will blow it, fine....there is reason for you to think that...i just dont agreeLol...bitter much? Just curious, why didnt you say that to the guy saying he doesnt see elite talent? Isnt he just a guy who plays ff too?Stop. You're being ridiculous. You're no ####### talent scout. You merely play fantasy football.Bazinga! said:Had your eyes checked recently?JetMaxx said:That's the highlight video I referenced with gaping holes and celebratory dances. Yeah...he might be a one week wonder, be part of a RBBC or be riding the pine if Lynch isn't hurt.....but at that moment of uncertainty.....his value is the starting RB in SEA. To me, Michael is no different right now. I certainly could get fair (if I approximated his value at RBBC for a week) value if I moved him this week....but who, after holding onto him for however long, is honestly is going to trade him for that right now? Last week?....I could see it. But today and up game time.....he's a starting RB in the NFL with a world of talent behind a (presumably) elite line and should be viewed as such. No, his floor is one part of a RBBC for one week. Kinda sad that this is his, 4th year and his hi-lite reel has to include plays from practice. Also saw several hand-offs from QBs not wearing #3. Are some of those pre-season clips? Uhhg.ImTheScientist said:

I'm with Milkman. Green is legit. Can't wait to see where he goes as a FA. Take that trade.I'd jump on that. Green is a free agent next year. He's going to go somewhere and break out. They don't use him so why would they fight to keep him? Rivers basically targeted Gates more in two games than he'll target Green the entire year. They don't see him as a difference maker. I disagree. Green is unproven. Mike Evans certainly had a good year LAST year. He's hit a wall and no guarantees going forward. Michael is also unproven, but if he does get the starting spot in Dallas, you're gonna kick yourself. And the talk I'm hearing about Diggs is that he could be a great one. Gates' 27 targets over the past two weeks equals Green's targets over 5 games, but Rivers is continuing to target Green, even with Gates' return. Gates shows no signs of slowing down, but he is 35, so it is hard to imagine there is much left in the tank. Uhhhh... no. Evans is, by far, the most valuable asset involved in the deal. I like and own Diggs and Michael in various leagues, but they are just lottery tickets. Evans is a consensus cornerstone player -- if you don't like him, fine, just turn around and flip him for other top assets that you do like. We don't know that he's starting -- we have some non-official speculation and some vague coach-speak about getting him more work. Even if he does completely usurp Randle's role, that role is < 15 carries / week. Guys with "a world of talent" typically aren't dumped for a conditional 7th -- elite athletic measurables, sure, but the bulk of the evidence thus far doesn't indicate elite overall talent as a RB. Great line or no, Dallas is struggling to move the ball on the ground -- they're middle of the pack in rushing on the season. It's probably not going to get any better until Romo and Dez return.I equate him to Rawls when Lynch went down and they didn't know the severity of the hamstring. Yeah, it's not typical at all. The fact that the one dude said to decline it is really bizarre IMO. I'd put his value roughly in the rookie 2nd range -- I'd probably accept an early 2nd for him while declining a late-looking 2nd. I'd definitely sell for any 1st, or any player in that value range.I would be very happy to take Evans for C-Mike but I play in a league where owners don't normally offer stud WR for lotto ticket RB. The fact we're even having this discussion is incredible actually.
Omg.
Yeah and I'm probably the biggest CM fan in here but Evans is a top 20 dynasty asset for the next 3 years easy. Easy to take that. I wouldn't give CM up for a early 2nd but I understand why someone would cash in for that price. Has to be a 1st for me.Yeah, it's not typical at all. True. But it's also not out of the question that Michael ends up with 7 carries and 19 yards. This is a HUGE question mark. One that has me very curious. Been reading about this guy's potential now for years. Also been watching him perched firmly on the bench. Anyone trading away or for this guy at this point is simply rolling the dice. It's not out of the question that Michael surpasses Evans seasons totals this week.
What can I tell ya - wouldn't do it. I think Michael and Diggs are both lottery tickets either of whom may or not pan out. I've seen one good season from Evans (actually had him last year), but I stayed away this year. Just don't have a great deal of confidence in him. Green may or may not be anything also, but definitely have not seen enough from him to consider him anything other than a prospect.Yeah, it's not typical at all. Amateurs.ESPN Substitution Alert: A benched player is projected to score more points than C. Michael RB, DAL this week.
Do you have a newsletter we can subscribe to?Not until Romo is back will ANY Dallas RB have value.
I predict a C West like performance. 12-15 carries for 40 yards.
I also predicted the Mets would win the NL back in July and that they would sweep the Cubs. So I'm kind of on fire!
Go Mets!
