Cincinati WR situation (1 Viewer)

I like Caldwell a lot. Lost in the hubbub about Simpson's finish last year was the fact that Caldwell went 15/270 in those last 3 games (projects out to 80/1440 for a full season). Hard working guy who I actually think will help the RBs as well as he's a good run-blocker.

Can't remember, isn't he used on returns?

punt returner is Tate. Not sure if he handles kickoffs too.
Tate is the only guy to return a punt or kickoff return this year. Given that Caldwell is gonna be WR2, they'll probably put another kid in there as the 2nd guy on kickoffs.Wouldn't completely surprise me if necessity makes them design a few plays that feature Tate (sorta like Chris Henry was used). That is 100% speculation by me.-QG

not to mention that they already had been trying to rotate him with Simpson cause he had such a strong camp. He's not much of a downgrade at all...The question I want to know is Whalen any good? Wasn't he Luck's clutch guy last year?

With Simpson out of the picture, Caldwell definitely holds value. Caldwell is not a great WR but he is good enough to score FF points. He is not an every week starter but could be used during bye weeks.

Any reason not to drop Simpson at this point or is there a chance he still plays out the season?
Well things don't look good, for sure, guess it depends on if you need the spot. Gotta figure clarification will come soon enough.-QG
