Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (1 Viewer)

There ya go.  I'll call that one a favor.  Pouncy gains 5 yards for a false start.

Ben is very inaccurate today.  Maybe he should put the RH glove on.

Pretty good protection for Dalton today.  Neither QB is accurate with any consistency today.  Both have had more bad misses than bullseyes.  Slick balls and slick field really hampering the passing and the pass rush.  Heinz is infamous for being a sloppy field.  As much as they share the field, I wish they'd go to Field Turf.

Slip + uncatchable ball.
:bs:   Slip = knocked down from behind (I could even buy that it was unintentional / feet tangled up).  Uncatchable = knocked on your ### out of bounds while trying to get up from the first knockdown 9 yards downfield.  No argument to be made about that.

Can't for Burfict to play next round.
Probably the one player I do wish injury on.  His being out is probably why there has been no chippiness in this game and why you have actually seen opponents helping each other off of the field several times today.  Even Pac Man has behaved to this point.

Why?  There is one thug who was a first round talent that went undrafted for his thuggishness who has continued to be a thug, and hope karma bites his ###.  What do I have to gain by being the bigger person and sending him a Chrismas card?

Oh Mylanta!....get out of bounds Benard.  Pretty sure Dalton didn't throw you that 10 yard pass because he was confident you could juke 80 yards to the end zone.

How can calls like that always favor the same team???  At some point the law of averages has to apply. It's terrible.
It's in your head.  Has the league ever apologized to your team for screwing them out of a playoff bid?  That happened to the Steelers.  I just can't stand people who blame the refs for everything.  Calls even out over the course of a season.

Godsbrother, BigSteelThrill and QuizzGuy notably missing from this thread.  Was really pretty quiet for a Pitt vs Cincy game.
I think Godsbrother probably went to the game. I bet QG is down at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati getting hammered and doing the chicken dance.

Yes, bad non-reversal on the fumble and also blew the TD when the TE's knee was down in bounds. Although Marvin could have challenged that one. It was an inconsistently called game, just so happened that the blown calls going against the Steelers didn't really hurt them but the ones against the Bengals did. Pittsburgh looked like the better team anyway. The AFC feels like a three team race between NE, Denver and Pittsburgh.

I won't argue the Bengals have been better than those 3, but coming out of @Jets and @Pitts 1-1 without Burfict doesn't really worry me yet. If VB comes back and the home games start and the D  still plays this average, I'll be worried.

Yep went to game.  And got drenched in the process.

It was a very odd Steelers-Bengals game as others have noted in here.  The field looked fine but there were a lot of guys slipping.   Weird that both AB and AJ both put up duds and I'm not sure how much of it was the defensive schemes or the weather.  Probably both.

I was really surprised there weren't more flags thrown as there could have been against both teams.  For the most part both teams behaved themselves fairly well -- it is amazing what happens when you remove a jerk like Vontaze Burfict from the game.

I couldn't tell by the replay on the scoreboard whether it was was a legit call on the fumble or not but it sounds like most here thought it should have been reversed.  I recorded the game so I'll take a look later.

Nice to come out of the gate 2-0!

After looking at this  review and explanation  of the fumble I can understand why the call wasn't reversed.  While it looks like Boyd's knee may have been down you really can't see if he has the ball or not.   Very close play and I don't think the replay would have been able to overturn whatever the call on the field was.

While it was a bang bang play and the replay would of "confirmed" whatever was called on the field of play, I do think Boyd's knee was down before the ball started moving. I'm sure most Bengals fans will say that, while Steelers fans will say the opposite.

Even though the Bengals lost, I am not worried at all. The Bengals went into hostile territory and held their own in some tough conditions. Had a chance to tie it late with AJ being a non factor in the game. Burfict and Eifert being out. Defense played well for the most part, I believe in the secondary, if only the DL could get some more pressure on the QB.

Drives me nuts all those broken plays where Roethlisberger chucks something 20 yards down field or the dink and dunk broken plays to Williams. But i understand that is his game.

Eh, I think / thought at the time that he was down, but obviously there wasn't conclusive video evidence available to overturn the call on the field. One of those things that happens, but yeah, it sucks that it happened at the end of an important, close, and hard-fought game.
