I usually will not bolt unless they have more than 700

also look at their DE pumps, if the pump is full bolt that.. you can tell by a little container that's on top of the pump, if its clear its empty if its black its full

also when you bolt a DE container, make sure you hit the absolute middle.. if you can look at an empty container there will be a circle in the middle of it. that's the sweet spot to bolt

lighnting upgrade is worth it because you'll be bolting peoples dark elixir while th7.

ive considered not upgrading all of my rax very high but I decidided I may want to use dragons more in my army so im going to upgrade them all to dragons. and probably only 1 to p.e.k.k.a

I've got 2 pekka and 2 dragon barracks. While upping walls, elixir really mounts up. Better to use it than donate it to a raid.

This is a good time to drop sub-200, get attacked by a bunch of bigger guys raiding sub-200 who are trophy dropping, then revenge lightning strike their DE.

I don't do them all. I have one upgrading to give me dragons but the rest are just set up to give me WBs since most of my forces are gobs and giants and being down a barracks or two sucks donkey balls.

But after that I'll happily try the sub200 strat cuz I don't have to worry about losing trophies from surrendering.

For the last few dozen, I targeted exposed town halls. It sucks to be 12 away and then lose 30 trophies because you only 48% a base.

I was having trouble cracking 1250 for a long time. Then one night I went to bed with 1200, and when I woke up I was at like 1345 after a ton of people dropped one barb and quit against me overnight. It was very weird.

Had a quality sub 200 run this morning. Got my lv2 dark barracks started which is good because I won't be distracted and waste DE for 5 days on bees while getting enough for BK.

sub 200 revenge DE strikes are $$$$$$$$$$$. just need to slum it a few more days and it's a done deal.

I think those 'bees' are a pretty OP unit. very cheap and dealing high damage + flies

This. I had one barracks that could do dragons and one that could do healers for the first half of my time at TH7. The last half, I've been rolling in elixir and looking to get rid of it so I don't draw extra attacks because of it. So I sank most of it into barracks upgrades until now all four barracks able to do dragons.

By the way, if you would rather just throw away elixir rather than have it potentially draw attacks, you can always start an upgrade that costs elixir, or a spell, and then cancel it and you'll lose half. Repeat until your elixir is where you want it to be. Never done it, but thought about it at least.

Though handing out dragons left and right helps with that too.

Yes, that's been my trouble lately. Lot's of well-defended TH's.

I found a mix of 15 giants + 1 healer and the rest archers better for 1250 achievement. I wouldn't concentrate so much on trying to get the TH, but just making sure I got to 50%. If you distract the cannons and towers you can ring archers around 180 degrees of the base and let them work in. Also use two spells on the air defense or a key mortar you want to get rid of.

It's a grind, but i don't think at th6/7 level it's reasonable to get there with all 100% wins.

I will try this.

I've been using ~6 giants, 6 WB, 65 gobs and a handful of barbs and archers to shoot over walls. It's a pretty squishy group.

This is the first time I feel like I dont need to log into the game. I have four long builds going and 14 hours left in my lab. Outside of collecting my resources to put into my vaults there is nothing I can do. I dont want to raid because it is going to be 12+ hours until a builder is free. I can donate troops but right now I have my barracks full to hide elixer.

Yep. Now that I have over 5K in my DE storage, I worry about folks targeting me. They can now take several hundred each time and it will take me hours to get that back. I can't get to 10K fast enough.

I was at 12,550 yesterday just about to upgrade barb king but my builder wasn't avail for 3 hours.. I was sitting in mid 300's so I thought I was safe.. some MF rolled me and stole 700 DE.. took me a while to get that back

I actually have built a spreadsheet to keep track of all the upgrades that I have to complete before the next TH level. Then I try and plan my updates so that I always have at least one builder coming free each day. With only 3 builders, I pretty much have to do this or I can get stuck pretty easily.

That might not be possible at higher levels, but it has been good to me so far at TH6 and now the beginnings of TH7.

ETA: For example, right now I have a builder coming free Wednesday night, one coming free Thursday night, and one coming free tonight. I can kick off a longer build (3 day +) with my builder tonight since I know I have a builder coming free the next two nights without getting me in a bind.

I have pretty close to that but haven't been hit yet. Defend it well and most people in that range won't be able to wipe you out because they're doing the same thing we're doing -- looking for an easy score to rush with a WB or 2 and a bunch of gobs.I am also very careful when I am dropping trophies not to drop my unit (huh-huh) on a guy that could revenge me for my DE. Basically I will skip anyone with available DE when I am dropping.

That's been my MO as of late to stay low in trophies, ideally above 200 unless I want to raid. Then I'll go below 200 and raid and then just stay below 500-700 as my DE doesn't get hit and I don't have to worry about trying to save for a 2-3M upgrade. I'll continue to hide out down there until my D and walls are high enough that I can handle TH9 and 10 attacks without losing 300k of gold and elixir each time.

I found an interesting place in the goblin campaigns

on the past couple i have been able to trash the place with 4-6 wall breakers, 8-10 giants, a handfull of barbarians and a dragon (occasionally a healing spell). on the last one i spent 47k elixir and scored 100k elixir and 100k gold. It looks like the next one should be about the same cost, and it is up to 150k each

the tactic is simple, take out air defense, and launch dragon. most only have a tower or two past that which can harm your dragons, keep the barbarians (or archers) or healing spell to handle those if the dragon gets too low. The healing spell obviously cuts down on the profit, but these last few have been more than profitable enough

additionally if you have a shield it does not burn it

part of the reason this works is there is no time limit on goblin games, so once the air defenses are gone your dragon will win

it just worked on collateral damage spent about 50k got 150k/150k but the next one choose wisely seems to have the air defenses well guarded, could be a tough one

Hmmm... maybe my troops are too low level (3 stars), but I don't like this combo. The archers spend all their time shooting camps and barracks while getting pummeled by mortars and towers. It'll stick to my greedy goblin hoard for now.

yeah probably

the dragon takes some damage though, with baloons you have to clear out the towers better, for several levels with a dragon you can just take out the air defense and watch it burn

From checking opponent trophy levels after each attack, I noticed that when you hit 199 trophies and below, the opponents you get are not all sub 200 also. You can be at 199 and most of your matches are people in the 230 to 250 range or maybe even higher. I was mostly getting matched with people 30-50 trophies more than me.

Implication being that once you hit 201, you're not suddenly free of being selected as an opponent by sub200 hunters who hit the matchmaking change at 199. You probably need to be up higher, like 260 or 270. I'm guessing at 199 it starts including TH level in the matchup somehow, but it's still searching people with more trophies than 199.

Found that a few days ago, but it hasn't changed how I play. I still just log out at whatever count I was at and let people attack/drop on me to raise me back up again.
