8 is probably the easiest to 1 star. It's gonna take an investment to get the higher guys and the payoff isn't all that much better than 8.

Count my attack on bangbangbear as a cautionary tale of what happens when you think you have the CC empty but you didn't get everyone out. 2 wizards with assists from a few traps ended up wiping out my hogs who ignore them for defensive buildings. I saw it was close on them emerging but thought I had the CC empty... I should have been safe and tested with a hog just to be sure. Would have been an easy kill and 1 less hog wouldn't have mattered much, but not doing it turned a 3-star into a 1-star.

Yep - if you're attacking with hogs the opposing CC, king & queens must be cleared first.Greg Russell said:

yeah, I just upgraded my DE storage (10 hours left) and still 3 days left on my lvl 2 hogs. Now the push to 30,000 starts for lvl 3
I just saw a th10 with level 1 walls and hardly any defenses beyond level 2. But they had a barb king and archer queen. I almost attacked just to show you guys on replay but couldnt afford to lose 27 trophies

TH7 upgrade progression
Builders: Camps upgrade, Barracks upgrade, Splash Damage upgrade, Canons & Tower upgrade, Storage upgrades, Extractor upgrades, Walls
Research: Archer upgrade, Dragon upgrade, other upgrades
This look like a decent plan? I'm gonna be starting my TH7 upgrade in the next day or two as well. It's close to the progression I used for all upgrades so far, but now that the upgrades will take days I want to be sure I'm committing resources in the proper order. TIA!
I was sure I'd be out of this game long before hitting TH6 let alone TH7. Joining the clan made sure that wasn't gonna happen.

I've got my T8 build under way. Still have to do two arounds of collector upgrades, but I couldn't wait any more. Sitting on too much loots with not enough high price upgrades available.
Really tempting to buy a fifth builder.

I am tempted as well, but I've heard that it is tough to keep them all busy at TH8 where upgrades are more expensive.

Just started upgrading to TH6 after spending a couple weeks doing nothing but upgrade my collectors. Really tedious and boring, but I have been trying to upgrade 100% before leveling up. My final collectors will upgrade while the TH is going. It is actually pretty amazing how fast they produce resources once upgraded. Doing zero attacks for the better part of two weeks and getting raided constantly I maxed out both resources.

I'm probably going to drop the 5 bucks when I hit 1500 gems to get to the 5th. For a game that's damn near free they don't push ads on us either which I like and want to support. Hell, spotify for 5 bucks a months still hits you with ads.

Clan is getting crushed this battle.
Each member of the opposing clan has their Clan Castle in the middle of the map with a dragon inside - very difficult to draw out.
Hog raids are getting roasted by this dragon.
Anyone got any tips/ideas on how to deal with this?

scout the target and find the radius for the CC. drop barbs until you draw dragoon out far enough to surround with archers & kill, launch attack after that

Defenses around their middle CC is making mince meat out of any approaching barbs - they don't make it to the radius of the CC

Consider me stopped. First time I've runinto this.
Attacking TH 10 with no Inferno Towers - but 3 Xbows. CC in middle with dragon is dining on roasted War Pigs.

I recently upgraded to TH7 and as I pointed out a couple of days ago, getting the dragon upgrade to Level II is really difficult as it requires 2M elixir which is tough to accumulate unless you are online 100% of the time (once my elixir was above 1M, I kept getting raided). If your storage isn't capable of 2M yet, I'd suggest updating that soon.
I prioritized wiz towers and air defense as first upgrades for the purposes of clan wars. Upgrading the levels on archers, then giants then barbs seems to have gotten the most bang for buck.

Going to give this a shot.
Sacrifice a hog or two + a heal spell to get close and lure out. Then try to get into the corner to surround and kill.

I think a lightning spell will draw out cc troops? It has been a long time since i used lightning so someone confirm?
Re: builder. I was able to get 80% of my th9 upgrades done keeping all 5 busy. But now that i am down to the last things, it is $4M each and even with a 10 day build time i dont need more than 3 builders.
The Teslas are only $3.5m for a 14 day build so it is still easy to use 5. But my Teslas are now at max.
Plus you will be using one for BK and the Queen as you start upgrading them.

Lightning strike does not lure them out fo the CC.
Also - I don't think the lighning strike does anything to a dragon - only ground troops - not sure though?
