The lower level guys that I know what to war. I say we go a day after the first FBGS war.

Gaspumper is Navin Johnson (although perhaps not on this board). He plays a mean ukulele, but iis terrible at guessing your weight.

 
Just added my BK, 4th builder, dark barracks and started my L4 barb upgrade all today and still haven't paid them a cent on my new account. Felt good.

 
We're full up now.

You can always check easily by going to the clan screen, doing a search for "fbgs" or "fbg2" and it'll tell you how members there are in the search result screen.

We got an arab war opponent it looks like.

Sjslacker is making L6 wizards for our war CCs where wizards are asked for. So please don't donate lower than that unless he's already contributed his max of 5 to the base, and the person wants more than that.

 
Strategy for the war is +5. If you are 15, attack #20, or work it out with others if you can get a 3-star more easily on some other base. Top 5 or 10 guys, work amongst yourselves to divy up the top bases as you see fit.

 
Been meaning to post this for awhile. The concept of +5 or +10 really grated on me when it first came out. Felt like I was wasting attacks I knew could 3-star someone higher.

It didn't take long for me to see the light. Yes, we can often attack higher than our +5. But I think the difference is, we look for bases we feel pretty good about 3-starring, and maybe we have an 80% or 90% chance of doing so. But with an appropriate +5 strategy, we tend to be hitting bases that jumps to 90% or 95%. We get a lot more wiggle room in our attacks. Even if we missclick and drop the wrong unit, waste a spell, or just have rotten luck with traps, and we're still likely to 3-star the +5 where we probably only get 1 or 2 stars when aiming for what we think is our upper bound of "safe" and something goes wrong.

And not having to waste additional attacks cleaning up stars helps a lot, both on the scoreboard, and on letting people start honeypotting a lot earlier so the clan earns more loot.

150 strategy:

Our 1-5 take their 1-10. Everyone else +5 three star. Then use second attack for cleanup or honeypot.

Generic win strategy: Everyone +5. This gives 135 stars, which wins nearly every war. Our top 5 attacks their top 5 if we need the stars.

Not sure if this was laid out when +5 was decided on, but it is a near optimum strategy.

My +5 looked so easy that I felt stupid spending DE on 35 hogs to take him out. I could've done dragon rush but he had two AA guns in the center, so I figured just play it safe, and overwhelm him with my pigs. I had archers in my CC - I almost didn't even bother emptying it and asking for wizards. My BK is down for four more hours getting upgraded, didn't even bother to wait.

Turns out when you accidentally drop TWO healing spells on your CC-clearing ARCHERS, even the simplest of villages can hold you to 47%.

FBG1 32 attacks for 80 stars

Egypt 4 attacks for 5 stars.

It is night time in Egypt though. I'm sure they'll make a battle of it when they wake up. Amirite?

As much as it pains me to admit it, it appears that you were the first to mention a defined +X strategy in the old thread. Page 58 in the thread.
