i called a base, which is someone else's +5, my +5 was taken. #28 is the one I called I think. If this is your +5 feel free to take it down, I will be attacking at about 3 or 4 hour mark after war starts so I can find another.

L1 witches worth using for a gowiwi? my current setup is gowipe with L2 golem, L3 pekkas. wanna try my first gowiwi today if L1 witches are capable over the L3 pekkas. If so how many witches would you recommend?

Some of the trade offs on when to use which...

Bases with a lot of compartments that you'll need to hack through walls tend to work well with pekka since they do massive damage that takes down a wall in a few swings. More open designs or fewer compartments where you aren't going through as many walls can be good for witches. Splash damage, particularly from wizard towers, can make it tough if it is just your skels left trying to break through a wall, as they get one shot and the witch keeps drifting closer and closer until she ends up in range of something. Really open designs like those exploded bases, a lot of skels can be great for setting off traps in advance of everything else.

We aren't doing anything +5 this time so there's nobody's +5 to steal.

 
The base layout editor is the greatest thing that has come in that update imo
I like having multiple options for the home layout (farming, pushing, DE-protecting, etc.). That is an incredibly helpful change.

I'm not as enthused about having multiple war layouts though. There isn't much else to do during the 24h prep period besides fill the CC's and scope out your targets. That second part is rather pointless now. You can get a general sense of air and ground strength, but that is of minimal worth. I don't see myself changing war bases for any reason other than to (similarly) negate the opponent's ability to prepare.

I guess they couldn't have one without the other though.

BTW I like your current war design Acer! I will probably follow suit.
Could someone grab a screen shot and PM me a link? PM rather than post so your opponent doesn't find it for trap and tesla locations.
Lol he spelled out "u will have to wait" with his walls.And speedwad has a 4 hole putt putt course made out of his walls.

thanks and thanks. the one i called is fairly open layout and all of his defenses except xbows and ADs are out in the perimeter so gowiwi sounds like a good plan assuming i can keep the witches out of the xbow range or keep the golems alive till i get into the core.

Huh. Looks pretty easy. Break into 1 compartment, and then 1 jump spell and you're in the middle, and your gols should target it if you cast before the last defense inside the compartment dies. Unless getting 50% on it is tough too or something.

Looks easy enough to crack I don't know that I'd even want to try it for my own base.

 
So had pretty crappy of raiding today. I should have been more patient about hitting next but finally attacked mediocre bases because my spell lab and rax boost were ticking away.

 
Is boog non war now?
I don't think so. I think the issue is Black Box, Grove or I generally kicked them off and we're not there. Bogart has to do it, he's the only one with the leader flag at present.
Is Bogart usually around?
I don't know if he's around at this time of day, don't recall him participating in kicking war off and such, but he was always up there in the donations as I recall.

 
speedwads idea was so awesome. i wonder if we could pull off 18 bases in a row each with their own hole design. We'd probably make reddit.

Then shoot a golem across to the core and ideally a few pekkas follow. they might not, but at a minimum you get 1 star and we figure out where the teslas and maybe some of the traps and bombs are. There's another base just like this down in the 20s. that would also be awesome if you scouted and got the one star for loot purposes there too.

Not totally sure. You might want a zap to deal with some of the cc, not sure how pekkas respond to cc aggro, never actually used one.

These hp changes have made maxth8 even harder to wipe with drags. I'm starting to wonder if our sleeping on hogs is going to bite us in the ###. Hogs can still be effective at that level.

I disagree. 44, 43, 41, 38, 37, and 32 have a fallen to 9 dragons or more. 40, 36, 35 have failed with a variation of a balloonian attack. It's not the dragons, it's the failed lure of cc on these balloonian attacks that are failing.

Of course, I also believe lvl 5 hogs would wipe these as well.

Edited to add, 33 went down to a balloonian that lured the cc.

yeah, I had minions in my cc already and didnt want to bother anyone. It was the wrong move. I expect to be booted by Culd soon and be demoted to serious bus
