I messed around with the hog/healer/hound thing a bit. I am not sure where the top end of this approach will be. I think this might be on the right track of something but I think ultimately what you'll end up using the healers for is to heal heroes, not hogs and the raid will be something along the lines of
2 hounds
2 healers
Remainder skulls
CC kill squad
Would work best perhaps on up xbow bases with a few anti air not covered by a queen and easy lurable cc.
Kill squad and healed heroes clean up and maybe have enough pop to get themselves out of trouble if the skulls run out of steam before killing all the defenses.
so you are taking the 'ho' out of lavaheho?
Well, I'm willing to watch someone execute this in war. For farming it's actually a great way to pile up gold without using a ton of spells imo. It might be a great pushing army too. I just think with the bases we see and the fact that you have to deal with a clan castle that the lack being able to predict hog pathing will be the downfall.
Healer+hero is a viable strat and can help deal with some of the lavaloon issues with attacks fizzling out before their time. Maybe.
And I'm still sort of hung up on that one guy that just walked over skinny or busted with mass drag and heroes. The mass drag fizzled out and the heroes just took care of the rest of it. Granted the queen was 40 and BK was 30 something but you back those with healers and you can sustain their hp enough to get the job done as long as your air takes care of the air bombs and all the things that can really mess up your heroes or healers.
