Clash of Clans (Official thread) (5 Viewers)

These guys aren't quitting but their math is awful. They still only have 11 3 stars on 74 attacks for 92.

Eventually we will run into a clan that will make us pay for lack of execution on TH10 bases, but this one isn't it.

 
Just throwing this out there, what if we plan an ambush of our old friends Reddit Vortex? We would have to change the roster up a little bit, but I think we could ambush them fairly easily.

We would have to match them to TH level, primarily. I have no idea what they are at mix wise at this point.

Yeah a quick scan show only 7 with freeze, and only 1 having higher than L3 freeze. So we might be too strong to get a match with them.

Easily one of the best attacks I have ever seen. It will be on youtube.

If we match them by th10 and 9 count and start when they do I bet we match. We've had matches of equal th with way stronger th10 before.

 
What about doc's hoggy barch post update

15 or so hogs go in and snipe 2 AA

Barch come in to snipe the edges.

heroes come in when path is clear to the core backed w healers.

could even throw 3 zaps on a tough to get AA.

How does this not fail to get a star on any base in the game?

:thumbup: there's a lot of riff raff with some golden moments mixed in. pin knows the game very well and has a knack for commentating, a one man team.

 
btw he is earning probably over a grand, maybe approaching two, per month for streaming a few hours a night. not a bad part-time job.

 
Are they actually gambling real money on whether an attack gets 1, 2 or 3 stars? Or coc gold?

And people are donating money just to watch?

 
Betting fictional in stream currency to enter give aways and stuff, you earn gold for betting my watching.

People support him with tips or by subscribing to his channel. It's all optional.. like a street performance type situation. Also he runs ads and has sponsors.

My current base just gave up it's first 3-star to a pentahound. All ADs were covering each other and x-bows were up. My CC did have 2 witches in it which were pretty much worthless. What CC loadout do I want for hound defense? Straight wizards?

Hmmm... dragon, wiz and/or minion combo maybe?

 
Anti laloon cc combos

30 - 5 minions 4 wiz or. 3 minions 2 wiz 1 witch 4 arch. Or 1 drag 5 minions.

Central to the pent is a zap. Need to make them a little more zap proof. Also employ the trick of stacking all your black bombs on the aa nearest your queen and surround your queen in red bombs

Good advice. Except for 5 minions+4 wiz only being 26. I get the point though :)

 
Unusual situation, doc is in full on panic mode and I'm saying put gobs in the war cc and set a few th out because it's a mismatch.

something has to give

Hardly panic. I, however, don't think we should change anything with strategy or cc fills. We need a set strategy we follow every single damn war regardless of opponent (unless they are farmers).

Calling a war a mismatch either positive or negative breeds complacency. We should be curb stomping every opponent.

If we are to ambush vortex I'd say we do it like this

have one more TH10 than them to account for any last minute roster changes on their part.

TH10 need to be 240+35 with max lava or L4+ freeze

TH9 need to be 220+30 with either max hogs or hounds for the level

TH8 need max anti air and wiz towers

No one cannons

They war at 8pm EST on Thurs and Saturday.

I'm not sure we have enough of the above to meet the needs to do this thing TH9 wise, I know we do TH10 at this point.

Edit: also plan on having both heroes awake. Serious business, this.

I guess I missed the first two Vortex wars, how exactly do we ensure we get matched against them? They war at a known time? Hit the button and pray?
