A very odd thing that I noticed about buttworms base... His 3 builders have been working on the same 3 resource buildings for years... they never finish Am I going nuts or is someone else seeing the same thing?

Well the smaller clans think it is going to be harder to recruit to them since they won't level as fast. The non-war clans think everyone will leave them to go to war clans for the perks as soon as those clans level up.

The competition for TH8 is about to get really intense. You can pull 10-15 of those in and they can donate max level troops and can still snipe for the high clanxp stars. TH8 will be like a 330 pound linebacker out of Louisiana that runs a 4.5 and benches 600 pounds.

Lots of comparison to something that went down with WoW that caused a whole set of players to basically go on strike till they took it down.

I've considered this. I'm not sure where the diminishing returns are. I just keep thinking someday they will let upgrading heroes in war. I might stop at 20/25 k/q and just roll with that till they finally let us use them all the time.

I'm quickly losing interest in farming. May pull back greg style soon and just pick up collectors in 500 range and war only.

TH8 for war matchmaking are rumored not to index the count. Most think they count TH10 and TH9 and that ratio counts for something. It seems to be the way people stage ambushes and it is extremely rare for us to be not within +/- 2 TH10 and +/- 5 TH9 of the clan we are against.

So now you have a base that requires in most cases a TH9 to 3 star if it's laid out correctly, and they can donate max troops, plus they have the firepower to snipe for clan xp of the other clans bases 1-5 probably 50% of the time if not more.

So yeah, TH8 are going to be recruited like crazy. The only max troop they can't donate are

-hound

-golems, but they can get them to level 4.

They can even give max pekkas now.

I think I get queen to 20 and push the button. I've had a really bad two weeks grinding DE. When I was grinding DE to get king to 20 it was just pouring in. This game sucks with the queen asleep. Might just not farm while she's down and wait for her to wake up farm, sleep her, repeat. I got nothing else to really push for.

All speculation. Donations are nice and all, but the issue comes down to what they can contribute in a war. Most of the time a rushed Th9 is stronger than a max th8 because they can consistently take out Max TH8's with the simple addition of skulls to their drag attacks.1 cannons are worth more than max TH8's. Give me 5 th9 one cannons any day of the week.

Not to mention supercell has stated that Th value means nothing in matchmaking. It's all about the strength of your base.

Bust through the NW Wonka Wall, drop furs and Thor fart on any parabola launching cannonball pot. Once the firework shooter thing is killed, drop the Hot Airs.

Exhibit A. Th8's really just have no shot. And to be quite frank, TH8 was boring as ####. Queen is a big deal. I wouldn't stay there once your BK is maxed.

You guys may scoff at this attack now. Try it and see the magic for yourself. It's the best I've done as a TH8 and I've got all the troops and have tried a lot of Golem variations.

Except you'll most likely fail on time still working on that part.

Agreed they aren't often, but if someone's already tried you then know where everything is, and occasionally that's enough to get that last dragon to survive just long enough. Agreed, it usually does come down to a weakness in design though. I was more referencing picking up those bases 1 starred bases and at least turning them into 2's. Or dragon sniping a TH10 for 1 asa TH8 is always fun, plus a huge boost in loot.

You'd mentioned swinging at guys in the 20s and missing on both, was just thinking getting a third * on a lower guy being a TH8 is invaluable to the group as a whole.

She just wants the offensive upgrades. It will be awhile before she adds the xbows/max wiz towers. So, if the calculations are right, she shouldn't count too much towards the matchmaking.
