Likely, yeah. But 15+ witches would just look so much better.Gowiwi for the win, no?Looking at this base for it: http://imgur.com/uWTA3zv
Movement only.Does haste make units attack faster or just move faster?
Last clan we faced that crushed us used this. For 35-space CC in war, typically when a golem is requested a superfur is used to top off.
Last war I started requesting golem + 2 max WB + barb. The barb draws the initial shots from nearby point defenses as the WB punch a hole and let the golem enter right in (lava or electric wall will require one additional wb). It works well if the CC can be dropped right next to the wall.
Anyone in the other clans using this? It would not surprise me if I was late figuring this out.
I was enlightened when I adopted the clover base for farming. Many successful attackers used jump, or loads of excess wb. One attacker used the barb/wb/wb quick deploy method.Last clan we faced that crushed us used this. For 35-space CC in war, typically when a golem is requested a superfur is used to top off.

Everytime they sent packs of 2-3 WB's they would send a martyr barbarian ahead of them to draw all the fire. Worked extremely well in that the WB's got to the wall unscathed.
Would also make sense to do the same with a CC involving Golem, 2 WB and a Barb - in that the Barb is coming out first.
Good stuff, I like this. I saw that Doc has been doing this for awhile now. I missed the PSA about it though.sartre said:I was enlightened when I adopted the clover base for farming. I tried to emulate it but had difficulty, because it requires fast fingers. I'm too slow on my phone. The barb is dead in the time it takes me to toggle to wallbreakers and return to the drop spot.
But coming out of the CC, it's automatic! The superfur throw-in provides a little extra tankiness to your golem CC, but I think the sure hole in the wall is worth more.
Just give up on revenges.
It'd be cool if you could deploy your troops from your camps defensively if you were online.Or just allow revenges even while they're online.
YesHeroes down for upgrade are still weighted for war matchup, right?
That's what I thought. So warring with heroes down is an even worse idea. I always opt out when upgrading.YesHeroes down for upgrade are still weighted for war matchup, right?
I had to chuckle.PSA: healers only heal 50% for heroes.
Carry on.
I'd never get to war if that was the case. Have had a hero down every day since hitting TH9 other than waking one up for a close war. That's what I thought. No. We threw in the towel. What was the final score in the last Quattro war? Was it close?
Sounds like a back story exists. Wha happened?I had to chuckle.PSA: healers only heal 50% for heroes.

Clayton based an attack thinking that healers weren't nerfed when healing heroes. It of course went horribly wrong. Attack is over and he can't figure out what happened, he and pigskin were even checking the math, when someone says "uh, healers only do 50% to heroes". Clayton is dumbfounded and checks wiki. Cursing begins again.Sounds like a back story exists. Wha happened?I had to chuckle.PSA: healers only heal 50% for heroes.

But it's like attacking with an arm tied behind your back. You can still war a ton when opting out during upgrades. I do.I'd never get to war if that was the case. Does not compute.War or farming? Can one of you guys point me in the direction of a good TH9 base design.
I'm using the Hypercube for a farming base. I'm nearly maxed, but I haven't been seriously attacked in the couple weeks I've had it. I also haven't typically been carrying alot of resources so take that as you will. I think it's a really good base. Can one of you guys point me in the direction of a good TH9 base design.
You in a clan now? I always go back to our war log and find our opponents that we had trouble getting starts on. If you drop into FBGS you can look at our opponents and see what's working.
I mean, opt out if you're upgrading, opt in when you're not. Just alternate so you're at full strength when warring. This x2. If it takes 7 days to upgrade a hero, how many wars can you participate in that week? But it's like attacking with an arm tied behind your back. You can still war a ton when opting out during upgrades. Then I would have participated in about 3 wars since becoming TH9 2 months ago and won't be in one again until my heroes are 25/25 (or whatever max is at TH9). Kind of defeats the purpose of wars. Quattro would be warring with 10 guys (mostly TH8) if we opted out every time a hero was down.I mean, opt out if you're upgrading, opt in when you're not. If the war match making considers heroes regardless of upgrade status, then your clan is, in effect, penalized with drawing opponents that potentially have all their heroes awake for offense.
Getting 3stars is tough enough without that disadvantage. And saying, "I could have done better with my AQ" after the fact isn't helpful either.
Yeah, for the foreseaable future my goal is to be down 1 hero for basically the next 6 months. There will be a war here and there where I couldn't raid enough to put it down right away again, but for the most part it's down 1 hero time for me.Then I would have participated in about 3 wars since becoming TH9 2 months ago and won't be in one again until my heroes are 25/25 (or whatever max is at TH9). Sunday night kickoff, wake up AQ, get both attacks in ASAP, then put her down. Let her sleep till near the end of the following war (Wednesday night). You can see how the war is going and whether you'll need to wake her for your attacks or not. If you don't need to wake her, let her sleep to the end of the next war and see if you need her. If you wake her, keep her up till you see the next opponent and decide if you'll need her or not.So what's the best way to balance hero upgrades and war?
If at least one hero is always down when does one get the chance to actually use them? It's a like a collectible toy that stays in the box forever.
Cost 400ish gems each time you need to wake but we're FBGs so no biggie. That's a solid plan. I always time my upgrades wrong though, I need to take advantage of the lighter weekend war schedule and remember to spend my gems from time to time

And if you can push to champs, the 2000 gems go a long way.
Noticed this in a couple of my structured clans as well.Cliff Clavin said:And I think we can safely put this war weight junk to bed now. We're getting matched up almost solely based on TH level. Us having two TH9 with no xbows isn't making the slightest difference in helping us get matched up vs fewer TH9 or weaker ones.
This war, for example, their lowest TH9 has L2 xbows and maxed everything but archers and a couple wiz. Our 3 lowest TH9, two with no xbows, don't have that type of D yet. And it has been like this the last few wars.
