This is one of the reasons why I've come around a bit.

I finally maxed out TH10. AQ done, defenses done, BK40 wakes up tonight, and I launched my final lab project this past weekend. I can now leave my DE storage out! :pickle: :pickle: :pickle:

After 22 months of grinding, I was looking forward to the end game. It really irked me that SC was further pushing out the finish line (honestly shouldn't 2 years be enough???).

I too am hopeful that the new upgrades will be limited enough that any additional slog will be short.
Seems wishful thinking considering the max loot storage will be 10,500,000 each.

Unless they add a second lab, any new troop levels would be manageable, it isn't hard to farm even 10 million elix if you only do it twice a month for a couple months.

What would be really disappointing though, is if they increase the max hero levels. It would truly suck if they took away our heroes for war again. If the ceiling was extended to level 50, that's potentially another 20 weeks of grinding DE and warring without both heroes. Ugh, not sure I could stomach that.

What I did not expect was that they would fix the trophy-pushing issues. It seems titan+ should be far more accessible to fair players now, and that opens up a new way of enjoying the game.

The problem is the same one I had deciding whether to go to 10 or not. My AQ 30 and BK 20 will be way under developed for TH11

My defenses will be OK but no where near max with one round of Archers and cannons left, but it comes down to getting hands on the new toys.

Who really enjoys trophy pushing? I barely enjoy raiding, it's mainly something to do in between war stuff. The only reason to be in higher trophy counts is to chase higher loot bonuses. I can't see any of these changes increasing appeal to the point where farmers convert to pushers.

I would have thought they would release higher volume DE storage today as well, but who knows.

There have been several leaked/rumors that are now assumed to be true that are not officially confirmed among those:

  • Healer change to reduce range
  • DE storage stays same
  • AQ/BK does not get additional levels
  • No additional wall level
  • New hero upgrades with elixer

We probably have 250-300 people tuned into this thread. Not a single one has ever been a sustained pusher, ever.

If there was appeal someone would have found it. Fact is war is a perfectly fine substitute for pushing for the vast vast majority of users. And the changes aren't going to really alter this.

Im kind of with Culdy on this one. Once I got my gems for the achievements, I see very little reason to push. The loot bonus is very little and not worth the time and effort. I do not see the game as broken since I enjoy playing it this way. You and the guy in the video disagree. That is OK.

But I will stop playing if I can not sustain enough loot to upgrade the remaining pieces that I need to. It will not encourage me to attack more. They could tell me that I can attack 1 million times under shield and it wont matter. I like attacking twice a day. If I cant upgrade attacking twice a day and having to have real defenses, Im done with this game. And I would venture to say there are a ton more people like me who will quit as well

The game will be completely different after this update. Nothing to this point is relevant in terms of higher trophy leagues.

We haven't had any pushers in this thread for two obvious reasons: 1) it's been completely pointless under the current system 2) none have maxed out

The fact is the game will now have a more meaningful and fair trophy system. That is simply a bonus for those that have finished with upgrades, and want a new challenge. I'm not at all surprised that that it is beyond your current understanding.

My current understanding is that pushers boost barracks to next through clouds in 6 hour chunks to hopefully 1 or 2 star someone for 1-6 trophies at a time, then logoff and try to get one of their alts to soft shield them even further up the chain. Fun.

The new system changes this to some extent by letting people attack through shields, and even attack through no shield neutralizing at least the effect of auto on software to the extent that it would matter. It also increases the minimum number of trophies available, but isn't clear on whether it remains a zero sum game or if there will be trophy inflation.

While it's great that they are neutralizing mods effects on trophy levels it still remains not really a game of skill at that level, but one of attrition. It's not one that I'm inclined to join in unless there is a farming benefit above my current resting spot.

It's been pointed out that players like myself that farm and get sniped in champs will nearly certainly float up 200-600 trophies without any effort at all. I assume this is by design. After all I think we all know that supercell wants all of us to be GoWiPe pushers gemming armies and if we were just there to see how fun it is we'd all be in cloud chat on boost 24/7.

 
In the CH/RT war (which tied 105/105 100%) Someone did a TH10 triple with a swag queen and 41 hogs. Waiting to see it on the tubes. Obviously modded as ####, but still has entertainment value.

Have begun saving gold/elixir in preparation for the upgrade next week.

Not just throwing everything into walls - it's beginning to pile up.

Has there been a fbg consensus on how to take advantage of the update day 1? Pummel all the exposed THs until your fingers ache? Gem barracks with Barch as long as you can stay awake? Leave your TH out? Help!

I think you are supposed to quit playing the day of the update from what I've read.

1) Have a base ready to go that has the TH inside and protected. Switch to it ASAP after the update drops.

Goblins on boost and raid till you run out of gems.

 
Played around with 3-4 different trophy bases. Neither one could successfully protect the DE and TH. Pisses me off. Don't see how the casual gamer will ever be able to work on heroes.
I'm gonna guess that farming bases look nothing like bases you've ever seen before

Any examples? Hyper cube was great.
The issue is that no one has played under the coming paradigm, so no one really knows which bases will be good yet.

The base I am going to use initially is basically my farming base, but I made room for the TH shaded on one side. My DE and CC are centralized, and the stores are protected but dispersed throughout the base. My thinking is that the attacker can choose what he wants to get: the TH (not too difficult), the DE (difficult), or hit a few stores (also not too difficult). But whatever he does, I want him to have to hit the 30% threshold and have to use most of his army doing so.

There's already an update version of hc out there. Not sure where you find it, but people were talking about it yesterday

 
I may try a spawn hole trap style base. Troll style bases will be pretty typical as well.

With an extra eq spell I still think queen walk is the biggest threat nearly no matter what
