Not exactly.
There is no cool down on the clock. You can collect the star bonus on a rolling 24 hour clock, but if you aren't there at exactly the 24 hour point the clock keeps rolling for 48 total hours, then stops. So you don't need to be obsessive about the star thing really at all. You can really just focus on getting 10 stars every 2 day.

I think the best way I've seen it explained is like this.
Think of the star bonus like war. War is a 2 day thing. You have a 24 hour prep period where nothing counts, but you have the next 48 hours to get 10 stars to get two entire bonuses. Whether you do that in the 47th hour or the 1st and 25th hour doesn't matter. You can't get BOTH bonuses inside the first 24 hours but you can't speed the clock up by getting your first in the first 24.
tldr: don't stress about the stars, the system is actually quite generous of people's time and time management.

Assuming war priority....
Offense: L3 Dragons
Defense: all air defenses to L6
Lab priority: L3 drags, L5 heal, L3 and L4 hogs
Secondary: L5 lightning, L5 wiz, L2 poison, L2 golem
Maxing out your air defenses will end the days of people drag rushing you. On offense, L3 dragons will work against early to mid-TH8's. L4 hogs will work against late (literally all) TH8's.

The valk blast thing as I call it getting some nice pub still. If a 40/40 farming elixer this is a nice way to #### some people up. Been using this in war lately as well. Getting the 3 with this is all about timing the back end cleanup just right.

Not sure. Lots of shuffling going on. OH Genesis vs rwcs also being settled. We got a couple oh guys on our side now that didn't work out for the other war. Asylum has a streamer. The AAA rwcs clans don't usually attract them.
I'm basically way out of loop on this stuff. The amount of time to settle these things is amazing. Don't have the patience. Our side has a big th10 edge but way in the hole on 9. So assuming 9s clear with 5-10 to spare we look really good.

People gotta stop waiting so long to attack. The giant cluster #### at the end probably cost us.

As frustrating as that was, I don't know what we would have done differently to be honest. We finished pretty strong, it just didn't need to be that stressful.
EDIT: so, ya, lower guys get your attacks in way sooner.Oh, and kicking the deadbeat #5 war weight guy was nice.

Channing crushing their bottom TH9 when Gaspumper was just about to. Would have left Channing's free to get the % we needed instead of wasting Gaspumper's attack.As frustrating as that was, I don't know what we would have done differently to be honest. I walked in late as well, so I'm guilty too. As a whole, we've been getting attacks in early for the last month, this is a bit of an anomaly imo. Yes, there are some who wait too long, but a frustrating war shouldn't have us pointing too many fingers. Oh, and as someone posted in chat, AZ showing early with a th10 3!

Ideally all the th9 get attacks in asap. Obviously that is not possible due to real life but way too many people holding two attacks going into day 2. That needs to improve

Valid. I made that call and it prolly wasn't the best. Gas was a no show until the final 3 hours so we had Chan build for a th9. I don't know Gas and wasn't counting on him making his second attack, so I put Chan there as soon as Jordan cleared the other th9. Would have been better using Chan for percentage. But being put in the position to make that call is in fact because we have too many people waiting until the stroke of midnight and making it tough to organize our finale.

I can attack earlier if need be, I was just under the assumption I'm the clean up guy so therefore always wait too attack on day 2. That can be changed or remain the same, just seeking some clarity so we are all on same page. Solid war nonetheless.

Yeah I agree. Usually I try to get one in each day but didn't happen this time. Got the second in before the mad rush at the end but I get the issue with planning. Still, it was a solid war and our attacks are getting better.

Yeah. Would assume so. Some pretty great th9 attacks as well. My base even held the other side to 1. They hit it 3x.

Yoga hits a th8... Doesn't even use 2 of the hounds he took with, the one he did never popped, and finished with a dozen skulls still floating. Swag hounds- love it

Will probably be looking for 2-4 TH11 that want to do a arranged war. Will be a few weeks. These things can take forever to setup. But if you all have some 11s weights/heroes that are at least interested would help.
Also wouldn't be the worst idea to see about getting fbgs in the FPC so you can get on some calendars yourselves. Random wars are rarely any fun anymore.
I'm seeing 600k-1m resources available all over the place in the gold/crystal 3 range. Most of those are max bases, but I can GiGob may way to a couple of storages and turn a decent if not amazing profit.
What has really changed for me since the early days of the update is that I'm not getting attacked at ALL any more. I'll get maybe 1-3 shields a week off of 30% attacks. I'm not sure what happened. Right after the update I was getting smoked even in crystal as soon as I would log off.

I see them here and there in Champs but not anywhere near as often. I have also become gunshy attacking a th 11 where I can not get the eagle easily. That thing obliterates my air attacks and all it needs is 3 hits and my AQ31 is toast. I dont feel like dropping so I guess I have to deal with it
