I am not one for posting these, but this deserves a thread. A team in my league just lost 72.60 to 72.64. Reason? Jake Delhomme's two kneel-downs at the end of the game, each resulting in -1 yds rushing.

We score out to 2 decimal points...14 starters, average score is about 125...had a tie, in the playoffs no less...

Once, I won by 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

000000000000001 points.

Beat that!

Hows this for close?

Total points league after "9 WEEKS" this year:

1st = 1232

2nd = 1228 (-4)

3rd = 1225.5 (-6.5)

4th = 1223 (-9)

5th = 1222 (-10)

6th = 1202.5 (-29.5)

7 - 12 are further back.

That's only 3.28 points per game difference between 1st and 6th place. These standings after 9 weeks are unreal. This league has been around 13 years and usually about 250 points separates 1st and 6th after 9 weeks.

Several weeks ago I lost to my opponent by 1 point(we don't have fractions of a point) Alexander ran the ball 3 times to run out the clock and got >10yds to get another point. If tied, I would have won the tiebreaker.

I hate Holmgren. He deservd to be without Alexander for doing that. Backups run out the clock. MM could have run it out. )&^&^&^$%$

There was a tie in my league. That is closer.
Unless you score to two decimal points, then no
So a tie isn't closer than one team having more points than the other team? You flunked math, didn't you?
Dont hate on this guy, he makes a better point than you do. It is much closer to win by .04 than it is to have a tie if youre scoring without decimal points. With fractional scoring, there is no possible way that the tie is still oging to remain a tie. Dont tell my boy that he doesnt know math, I think you need to go check your own logic skills.

You might say that the odds were greater against it being that close with decimal scoring, but it still isn't closer than a tie. You cannot get closer than a tie, mathematically speaking. So yes, I can say that he doesn't know math.

:rolleyes: You're being unreasonably idiotic. Just stop.
