I just started playing yesterday. So far best gun is man o war of the very first gun. I am a run a gun person and play Demolition. average around 40 kills a game with maybe 20 deaths. Only level 27 or 28 too so it will get much better once i get H.A.T.R which is basically an orbital vsat. Has anyone tried HC capture the flag. Is there spawn trapping like there was in BO2 when it first came out. I liked hardcore dom and Hardcore headquarters but just don't like the kids that know every single spawn and trap you so you can't move.

The Man O War isn't that good IMO. From kind of far it is nice but it's bad medium to medium close range.

For TDM I'd only use fast hands, hard wired and one of the sound whore perks.

Saw the update last night and finally got in some HCKC.

Treyarch has released a new game settings update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The new update is very 33.16.18.

This new update includes:

• Adds Capture the Flag to Arena mode
  
• Adds Hardcore Domination and Hardcore Kill Confirmed
  
• Uplink Time Glitch has been fixed
  
• Spawn Fixes

ghost/fast hands/6th sense or tac mask if you are getting stun/flash a lot...

you wont see much tacticals or lethals this game due to peeps using multiple attachments on their guns

you can go bare minimum on perks with just ghost and fast hands depending on what game types you play

Probably the best at the beginning, but I usually run Ruin because the gravity spikes are pretty awesome when they hit home.

Vesper unlocked. Looking forward to it, picked one up during a fight earlier and loved it.

For perks I'm running fast hands, ghost, sixth sense and sometimes I'll run engineer.

I like engineer because you can see every enemy trip mine, hive and score streaks. Also I have care package as a score streak so if I don't get a good one I can re-roll and maybe it'll be something better using engineer. Hardwired is a lot of coverage for one perk too, but I don't always have room for it. You can basically walk by trip mines, shock charges etc, it lessens your tracker and sixth sense footprint for the enemies, and you aren't fazed by counter uav with it.

My k/d is the best it's ever been for a COD game this early in the release. Typical I suffer with about a .8 to .9 k/d until I figure out what's best then its a tough road back to about 1.0 k/d. Right now I'm 1.0 that's up from .8 just 3 days ago and that is mostly due to the vesper. I basically win almost all short range head to head battles because of that thing.

I'm liking the game so far. I play it pretty straight though, not a lot of jumping and wall walking. I don't feel like you need to do that to play well. I still miss knifing. But I am loving that drop shots are a thing of the past. Those guys used to clobber me.

Anyone else have issues with the last update? It downloaded yesterday maybe, but I haven't been able to play since. At first I thought i was an Xbox Live issue, but obviously Xbox live is up and running.

I walked through the troubleshooting from Xbox Support on the website. I got to the second to the last step, to download a diagnostic file. The website said "do this only as a last resort. If this doesn't work, the only alternative is to have your Xbox repaired." I figured I'd check to see with the good people here if this issue sounds familiar.

Bottom line, when I try to start of COD, it says "you must install the update first." But when I try to download the update, it says there was a problem with the install file.

Then, when I see an easy kill or hear enemy UAV, I'll pop my special, get a kill and pop my UAV/CUAV. Then I'll pretty much just try to stay alive the next 20 seconds or so. Every kill my team gets I'll get +40. This will put me right at a wraith. My K/D has hovered just over 2 using this setup not to mention it's pretty team friendly kill streaks.

I've been running the hive specialist which typically gets me more than one kill. Also run the uav, counter uav and care package. Had that stolen a handful of times. I find the uavs get shot down pretty quick at least half the time.

UAVs get shot down a lot. The hives are so annoying which mean they work pretty well. Gonna experiment with some sniper rifles next

My main goal with playing this game is leveling up guns, unlocking camo's, and playing around with different configurations. I'll never be a competitive player, so I just try to unlock everything I can.

Pretty disappointed that all you get the first time around for prestiging a weapon is your clan tag (no clan here).

I am still amazed that they have to tweak guns. You would think at this point, with all the real world data about guns and many incarnations of the same game, that they could figure out an equation that would be pretty universal.

My boys play it all the time, but I've never gotten the allure. Maybe it is the darkness that makes it hard to see. I'd rather play on a bright screen where I can see everything (get off my lawn!).

Here's what I'm wondering, why can't they include classic maps into the new games? The maps get stale sometimes, but if you could import maps from previous iterations into the game, I would think it would keep it fresh longer. I would think if once every half dozen games or so you got to play on a classic it would be pretty cool.

Feb 2nd for PS4. Which really should be the second week in January. They should just stagger the maps and the zombie releases. The map packs should really be released every 6 weeks instead of 8.

So I've golded a grand total of three guns (the first asault rifle, SMG, and shot gun). I have no idea how I'm going to get the requisite one shot kills with the first sniper, or enough headshots with the Brecci.
