Colin Kaepernick Thread and related anthem kneeling issues/news (24 Viewers)

On another note congrats.  You bumped this thread Thursday with no response.

You bumped it again and got it fired up. I like the Kappy banter though..

Please don't call him Kappy again until you can provide that lone Harbaugh link you supposedly heard one time years ago, that no one else has ever used before or since as a Kaepernick nickname.

49ers fan here, went to see him in Atlanta for the NFC Championship game.  He was great that year.  The year was 2012.  Guys, that was 10 years ago for a QB whose best attribute was his legs.  He was never a pocket passer that a QB of his current age would have to be to have any hope of success in the NFL.

i have never taken the time to respond to you but  seriously you are upset over a nickname ( that isnt disrespectful) and in other thread , the title of that thread

pick your battles and let some of this minor things go by without responding and ruining threads

I'll call him Kappy if I damn well please.  It's not discouraging and you aren't the damn board cop.

Kappy has not been relevant in the NFL for 8 years so you find it for me if you are so concerned.

And I won't lose any sleep if you never respond to me again in the future. However I do appreciate your taking the time taken here, under the circumstances.

Shirley you can`t be serious.

If ever a response deserved the laughing emoji it is this one..

I wasn't addressing you and it was not you who I quoted.  However, I will agree it is not "discouraging" (?).

But, yes, call him what you damn well please, I probably won't ask you to stop since I rarely read the posts where you are constantly acting as the damn board cop and are following me around from thread to thread only when you are not doing the same with Sho or Tim.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What is wrong with you?  Head back over to the Fox News thread and throw another tantrum about the thread title.

Only 3 laughing emojis? I got 5 before.  :kicksrock:

And it is not called the Fox News thread, although I may start a competing thread if the Fox Cracks Me Up Hillary and Benghazi title is not changed.

One person in the world used it as a nickname nine years ago and it appears that no one used it before or since. Sorry, that doesn't make it his legitimate nickname.

Seems like you asked for a link and got one.  The men in the locker room call him Kappy.  That is good enough for me.  Kappy it is.

Your initial complaint was anyone classified as friend, family, sportswriter or teammate.

I wish that you would quit calling him "Kappy" as that is a nickname I have never seen anyone use, including, friends, family, NFL sportswriters or even his teammates
You were shown a video of a teammate calling him Kappy.  You were proven wrong.  Instead of admitting you were wrong you move the goalposts. Is this SOP for you?

I said teammates which is plural. From the link: "Davis had a funny name for his quarterback" - note they didn't say that was the nickname his teammates used, it was just Vernon Davis and it appears that no one has before or since.

If Davis had called him "Fred" and no one else on the team did, that wouldn't make "Fred" Kaepernick's nickname.

Plural as in any of his teammate(s).  You said, "anyone".  Davis qualifies.

You're either changing what you said, or changing what you meant.

Rob Schneider really, really, REALLY needs to guest host Saturday Night Live and invite Kaepernick on for a cameo as the office schlub du jour:

"Colin Kaepernick ... the Kapster! The Kapmeister ... Kap & Trade ... Kap-O! Kappy McKappicutty ... The Kap-tain and Tenille ... Kapsky! Makin' kappies ..."

Everybody always talks about how some of the very best posters from the golden era aren't around any more.  Lost in the shuffle is that today's worst posters are so much worse than the worst posters from yesteryear.  Say what you will about BGP or LarryBoy or whoever, but those guys could be legitimately funny even if was sort of unintentional at times.  They would have been ashamed to get worked up over a grown man's nickname the way a certain poster here seems to be worked up.

Point taken

Davis as the one and only person in the world who has appeared to use this nickname does qualify as "anyone"  .  But that doesn't make it his nickname, no more than Davis alone calling him "Fred" would make "Fred" his nickname.

Now you're going backwards. There are many people in the world that have called him that. Several in this thread just today.  You might even say it's the FBG's forum nickname for Colin.

  Sorry but if several in this thread started calling him "Fred" just today, it wouldn't make "Fred" his actual nickname outside a few denizens of this esteemed forum.

I told you the first time I heard it was from Jim Harbaugh.  I did not make it up.

Some folks just don’t know how to live in a world without monsters under the bed.
