College players to watch (1 Viewer)

I came across some workout numbers. Many have Allen Patrick high for the 2007 season and the 2008 draft. I introduced Demarco Murray to some in this thread: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...demarco++murray

From the 3/31 scrimmage:

Redshirt freshman running back DeMarco Murray again practiced well.

He rushed 16 times for 132 yards and one touchdown. He had one 65-yard burst and then scored on a seven-yard sweep. The versatile Murray also caught one pass for a 19-yard gain.

“DeMarco’s a special player,” Stoops said. “All spring he’s made plays and he made a lot of big plays today. He’s going to be a boost to us

Now to the offseason numbers. Here is a link to the numbers: http://sooners.wordpress.com/2007/02/01/so...winter-testing/

Check out the numbers for Murray and Allen Patrick, a favorite of some to be a top RB in 2007. These are the times of the top 5 of the workouts for the entire team. Also, remember that Murray has never played a college game.

Murray:

vertical jump: 41.0

40 yd dash: 4.43

Patrick:

vertical jump: 36.5

broad jump: 10-11

body fat %: 4.9

40 yd dash: 4.46

10 yd dash: 1.43

I do not know if many care about talking college prospects, but these two RBs should be on the radar. Patrick will be available for the 2008 draft and Murray can be available for the 2009 draft.

Also, on Patrick, his OC (Cale Gundy, former OU QB on the OKC news) said that Patrick was "happy to break Adrian Peterson's workout numbers".

More to come as I find it.
