Colt McCoy sneaky week one start? (1 Viewer)

McCoy plays against the Bengals week one. On paper this looks like a sneaky play. Will the Browns run the ball too much to make me wrong?

If you've got Manning as your 'starter', sure. Otherwise I've got a hard time imagining a real lineup where someone would use him week 1.

Better plays for week 1:

Grossman against a decimated secondary of the Giants and no Umeniyora either

Whoever starts for Colts against that horrible Texans secondary ... Collins?

Hasselbeck against that horrible Jax secondary

I wouldn't be surprised to see McCoy put up top 10 #'s week 1.
But who would you have drafted as a starter that you would actually bench for him? That's the key. High risk, low reward move in starting him if anyone else was your first QB. He might get you 1-2 points more than your actual starter, and he might get you 10-15 less...

I got Peyton Manning & McNabb in my dynasty. McCoy is starting

For two QB leagues (I'm in two), he is a viable week one start with upside. And trust me, worse QBs will be started in those leagues.Other very large leagues (20+ teams) would be another case where McCoy could present value.

While a home game versus the Bengals is appealing, I want to see what McCoy looks like in year #2 before I start puttting him in the starting lineup. Had this been a Week 3 game and he has proven that he's capable of posting up quality numbers I'd be all over it. Just not in Week 1, if I have safer options.

I'm torn on this one. I too am leaning McCoy over Flacco this week (the latter has Pit).

And, yes, it's a very large league--that's how I ended up with those two.

I guess he beats all 3.Gmen love the rook, may be OK (not great, not better, not...but OK) without OsiOh yeah and you're a Bears fan that predicted good things for Grossman. I just wanted to point that out to you is all.

I'm more curious to see if the addition of Joseph makes the Houston secondary a tougher opponent. I think HOU defense will be a bit better than what others think.
